Apple Launches First Store in India at Mumbai BKC

Apple, the tech giant, is set to launch its first retail store in India this month. The store, located in the Jio World Drive Mall in Mumbai, will officially mark the company’s entry into the Indian market, which has been a long-awaited move for the tech giant.
According to reports, the Apple BKC store will be open to the public in April, and the company will open another store in Delhi very soon.
This comes after Apple announced that it had set an all-time revenue record for the Indian market in February of this year. “We set a quarterly revenue record and grew very strong double digits year over year, and so we feel very good about how we performed,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook.
Despite the pandemic, Apple has continued to grow in India. In the holiday quarter of 2022, the company sold 2 million iPhones in India, registering an 18% growth quarter-on-quarter for its flagship device. Additionally, the market share of iPhones in India reached 5.5% for 2022, an 11% growth year-on-year.
“That’s despite the headwinds that we talked about. India is a hugely exciting market for us and a major focus. We brought the online store there in 2020. We will soon bring Apple Retail there,” Cook added.
The move into the Indian market has been a long time coming for Apple, which has been working to establish a presence in the country for several years. In 2020, the company launched its online store in India, and now, with the opening of its first retail store, it is clear that the company is committed to expanding its reach in the Indian market.
With the growing popularity of Apple products in India, the company’s move into the Indian market is expected to be a major success, with the potential to drive significant growth and revenue for the tech giant in the years to come.
In conclusion, the launch of Apple’s first retail store in India is a significant step for the company as it expands its presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing smartphone markets. The move is expected to drive significant growth and revenue for Apple in India, and with plans for another store in New Delhi, it is clear that the company is committed to establishing a strong foothold in the Indian market.

This new offering is designed for a wide range of users, including professional creators, emerging artists, entrepreneurs, students, and educators, all while maintaining Apple’s strong stance on privacy through on-device intelligence.
Smarter and Faster Video Creation with Final Cut Pro

Final Cut Pro for Mac and iPad receives several intelligent upgrades that significantly speed up complex workflows. Transcript Search allows editors to locate specific dialogue or soundbites instantly by typing keywords, while Visual Search helps find clips based on objects or actions within footage.
Another major highlight is Beat Detection, which visually maps musical beats and bars directly onto the timeline, making it easier to sync edits with music. iPad users also benefit from the new Montage Maker, an AI-powered tool that automatically assembles dynamic edits, adjusts pacing, and reframes videos for vertical formats, making social media publishing faster than ever.
Advanced Music Creation with Logic Pro and MainStage

Logic Pro for Mac and iPad introduces intelligent tools such as Synth Player and Chord ID. Synth Player acts like a virtual electronic musician, generating realistic synth performances powered by AI, while Chord ID analyzes audio or MIDI recordings to automatically generate chord progressions.

Additionally, Music Understanding features allow creators to search for sounds using natural language, simplifying the creative process.
With MainStage included, performers can turn their Mac into a live instrument or effects rig, ensuring studio-quality sound on stage.

Microsoft Lens Discontinued: 5 Powerful Reasons Microsoft Is Shifting Document Scanning to OneDrive

Microsoft Lens Discontinued by Microsoft marks the end of one of the most trusted document scanning apps on Android and iOS. As the company continues consolidating its services under the Microsoft 365 Copilot ecosystem, features once exclusive to Lens are now fully integrated into OneDrive, making the standalone app redundant.

Microsoft Lens is officially being retired, marking the end of one of Microsoft’s most popular document-scanning apps on Android and iOS. As Microsoft continues to streamline its ecosystem under the Microsoft 365 Copilot umbrella, the company is consolidating overlapping features into fewer, more powerful apps — and unfortunately, Lens didn’t cut.
According to Microsoft, the Microsoft Lens app will stop being supported on Android and iOS starting January 9, 2026. Users will be able to scan documents until March 9, 2026, after which new scans will no longer be possible. Existing scans will remain accessible as long as the app stays installed on the device.

Microsoft Lens Discontinued: Why Microsoft Is Shutting Down the App
The main reason behind this move is feature consolidation. Microsoft has already integrated document scanning into Microsoft OneDrive, eliminating the need for a separate scanning app. By focusing on OneDrive, Microsoft can deliver scanning, storage, editing, and sharing tools in one unified experience.
Despite Lens boasting an impressive 4.8-star rating, Microsoft believes OneDrive is better positioned to handle both productivity and security needs moving forward.

OneDrive’s Advantages Over Google Drive
Microsoft OneDrive has steadily evolved into a full-fledged productivity hub. It offers password-protected and expiry-based sharing links, a feature still missing from Google Drive. Users can also store sensitive documents in Personal Vault, which adds an extra layer of encryption and biometric protection.
When it comes to PDFs, OneDrive stands out with advanced editing tools such as page management, annotations, text insertion, and built-in document signing. Android users also benefit from biometric app locking, ensuring files remain private even if the device is shared.

What Lens Users Should Do Now
If you’ve relied on Microsoft Lens for scanning receipts, documents, or notes, now is the time to transition. OneDrive already offers similar — and in many cases superior — functionality, with better integration across Microsoft 365 and Windows devices.
As Microsoft continues to prioritize AI-powered productivity through Copilot, OneDrive is clearly positioned as the company’s all-in-one document and file management solution.

Apple Taps Google Gemini AI to Supercharge Siri and Apple Intelligence in Major AI Push

Apple taps Google Gemini AI to power the next generation of Siri and Apple Intelligence, marking one of the most significant shifts in Apple’s artificial intelligence strategy to date. The multi-year collaboration between Apple and Google aims to deliver a more personalised, context-aware, and capable Siri experience across iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices.

Apple Taps Google Gemini AI to Redefine Siri and Apple Intelligence
According to a joint announcement, Apple selected Gemini after evaluating several AI technologies, concluding that Google’s models offered the strongest foundation for its next-generation Apple Foundation Models. These Gemini-powered systems will underpin upcoming Apple Intelligence features, enabling Siri to better understand natural language, user intent, and on-device context.

Apple clarified that while Gemini models will enhance intelligence and reasoning, Apple Intelligence will continue to operate on-device and through Apple’s Private Cloud Compute, ensuring privacy remains central to the user experience.
A More Personalised Siri Coming Later This Year
The companies confirmed that a more personalised version of Siri is expected to roll out later this year. This aligns with earlier reports suggesting Apple has been working closely with Google to integrate Gemini-based capabilities such as AI-powered web search and deeper contextual awareness.

Industry sources indicate Apple is paying Google to develop a custom Gemini model tailored for Apple’s private cloud infrastructure, a move that builds on their long-standing search partnership.
Apple’s AI Strategy After WWDC 2024
At WWDC 2024, Apple previewed iOS 18 and introduced Apple Intelligence as a core platform feature. While several AI tools have already launched, the upgraded Siri remains one of the most anticipated additions.
Reports suggest Apple is targeting an internal release window of Spring 2026, with a public rollout potentially tied to the iOS 26.4 update. However, timelines may shift depending on development challenges.
With Gemini now in the mix, Apple appears determined to close the AI gap and redefine Siri as a truly intelligent digital assistant.
