Critical Alert: Outdated iOS Versions on iPhones Expose Your Personal Data to Risk
Kaspersky, a Russian multinational cybersecurity and anti-virus provider has reported the malicious attachment conveyed through iMessage that executes code to collect the personal data from the users.

Eugene Kaspersky, CEO of Kaspersky has Tweeted about this spyware on their Twitter handle. This malware is sent to the iPhones with iMessages to take out the personal information of iOS users such as recordings, photos, Locations, etc. After taking out personal data from the users it is transmitted to the remote servers.
According to Kaspersky, This spyware is founded on tons of employees who are using iPhones and also trying to target more iPhone Users also. Also, the company said that after installing the malware in the device it automatically deletes the text and the attachment of the iMessage. iOS users who are using iOS version 15.7 are targeted with this spyware. Till now the users of iOS 16 are safe But we don’t know if they are properly safe or not because Kaspersky has not mentioned it yet.
The Company, Kaspersky has named this cyberattack threat as “Operation Triangulation.” That targets the iPhones running an older version of iOS. Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook said iOS users to disable iMessage from their iPhones. To get rid of this, you have to turn off iMessage from your iPhone.
How to Turn off iMessage from your iPhone?
- First, you have to open Settings.
- In Settings, click messages
- Then, Toggle Off the iMessage.
How to check this spyware in your iPhone?
On 2 June 2023, Friday. Russian-based Cybersecurity company, Kaspersky has released a tool to detect this spyware from your iPhones.
Apple released an update in February 2023, for iPhones, iPads, and Macs to fix major issues with iOS 16.3 and macOS 13.2. Apple has also provided credit to the debuggers who found distortions that authorized remote users to bypass the protection of Apple and get access to the personal user data of the users also the Microphone, History of the Calls, and Camera.

Apple, an American-based Tech Giant has recently shared full release notes for the iOS 17.4 update, which is expected to be launched in the first week of the next month i.e. March. As we already know the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s tetraprism camera comes with 5x optical zoom. But now, Apple is planning to add it in both Pro models of iPhone 16 i.e. iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
This is a rumor that we have already heard from many big sources such as MacRumors, Taiwanese research firm Trendforce, and Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. In today’s press release, Taiwanese research firm Trendforce has adverted regarding this.
Following the successful launch of the iPhone 15 Pro Max with its exclusive Tetraprism telephoto zoom lens, the industry is expected to see an increase in the adoption of periscopic lens modules. Apple plans to bring this advanced hardware upgrade to the iPhone 16 Pro, making it accessible to more users in the Pro series.
The design of the tetraprism camera system in the iPhone 15 Pro Max is folded due to which it can be easily fitted into the smartphone. This tetraprism camera system enables 5x optical zoom and 25x digital zoom. The Pro Max models of iPhones i.e. iPhone 15 Pro Max have a bigger display size i.e. 6.7 inches.
But, on the other hand, if we talk about the Pro models i.e. iPhone 15 Pro, then the display is 6.1 inches as like the iPhone 15 which is small if we compare it with Pro Max. So, as per rumors, Apple will increase the size of the iPhone 16 Pro from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches to fit the tetraprism camera system in the Pro model of the iPhone 16.
