Recently in an interview with Forbes, Carl Pei, CEO and Co-Founder of Nothing, a UK Based Smartphone Manufacturing Company. He has revealed the Battery Capacity and the Launch Month. Now, David Phelan from Forbes has taken another interview with Carl Pei asking about why he comes in this tough Smartphone Market. As there are many smartphone brands.

Carl’s Opinion of the Smartphone Industry

In the interview, Pei said that the smartphone industry has grown dull and predictable. The Giant tech companies play it safe and the same. Nowadays smartphones are becoming boring. No one cares about them and forgot it very quickly. Also, users can also see so much innovation if they look at the smartphone industry. He also looks quite confident.

Improvements in the Nothing OS and a bigger team with Nothing Phone (2)

After the success of the Nothing Phone (1). The company is very excited about the Launch of the Upcoming Smartphone, Nothing phone (2) which is going to be launched in July. The second generation, Nothing Phone (2) will be a major upgrade from the Nothing Phone (1). Carl also said that the team is big and stronger. For Phone (1) it was 200 but for Phone (2) it is more than twice. This team includes specialized engineers. Also, in the Nothing Software team, about 100 people. Due to this in Nothing Phone (2) people can expect much more improvements in the Nothing OS. The design of Phone (2) is also more innovative from the user’s point.

Carl said that some companies give higher megapixels camera sensors in their phones. But software plays an important role in a phone. As it provides power to the phone to speed ahead. In the interview, Carl also said that for the Phone (1), the company has only 10 people who worked on the software in a house. But now, we have a bigger team for the new build of Nothing OS. The new build is much smoother and faster. Now, the testing process is also much improved with accurate testing protocols. Hundreds of samples are already tested in 800 hours each across tens of thousands of user scenarios.

Nothing also decide to launch this phone in the US market. According to Carl, This decision was inspired by the distinctive R&D requirements for each market. With Phone (2), the company is also making an evident entry into the popular US market. Also, there is a big demand for audio products like Nothing Ear Stick and Nothing Ear (1),(2), and also repeated queries from the customers who are excited to use the Nothing Phone.

Premium User Experience and New Glyph Interface

The Phone (2) will provide a more premium experience to the users of Nothing Phone (2) if we compare it with the Phone (1) which is competing with the flagship smartphones of today’s market. What about the Glyph Interface? The Glyph interface is made of more than 900 LED lights that are stripped on the back panel of Nothing Phone (1) which are bright and glow up. These can be on or off based on the synchronizing of Tones and Ul Elements. They can also brighten up when you receive notifications and calls, and also with music visualization. But with the Nothing Phone (2), we are getting Glyph Interface with more customizations and functionality which can be more interesting.
