Google announced Google Pixel Fold to be launched On 10 May 2023 in Google I/O Event

Like Samsung, now Google is also coming with its First Foldable Smartphone. On Thursday, 4 May 2023 Google officially announced their Foldable Smartphone in their Google I/O Event. This Event is going to be held on 10 May 2023.

What Specifications we can expect for Google Pixel Fold?

According to Front Page Tech’s Jon Prosser, we can expect this Foldable Phone to come with a 7.6-inch inner display (1,840 x 2,208 pixels) with a 6:5 aspect ratio. If we talk about the Outer Display. So, the Outer Display is 5.8 inches Oled Display with a 17.4:9 aspect ratio, (1,080×2,092 pixels). Both the Inner and Outer Display comes with a 120 Hz Refresh Rate. The weight of the device is 283 grams. We get 12 GB of RAM with LPDDR5 in Google Pixel Fold.

If we talk about Processor. So, we may get Google’s own Tensor G2 SoC Chip which is also used in Pixel 7 and 7 Pro. The Titan M2 security chip is also coupled with the Tensor G2 Chip. In-Camera, we get a triple rear camera setup. The primary Sensor is 48 megapixels, Ultra-wide sensor is 10.8 megapixels with a 121-degree  FoV. The dual PD (pupillary distance) telephoto lens of 10.8 megapixels comes with 5x optical zoom and 20x Super Res Zoom and a wide-angle lens with OIS, CLAF, and an f/1.7 aperture. If we talk about the selfie part then, the selfie camera sensor is of a 9.5-megapixels with a pixel width of 1.22 pm, f/2.2 aperture, and fixed focus. The inner selfie camera is tipped to come with an 8-megapixel, an aperture of f/2.0, and fixed focus.

For device security, we get a Side Mounted Fingerprint Sensor and Face Unlock as well. We got a 4500 mAh Battery with 20W Charging. We can have 24 Hrs of playback time and 72 Hrs of standby time. It comes with Android 13 out of the box.

Free Pixel Watch For Pre-Order Users?

As Google is going to introduce their Google Pixel Fold in their Google I/O Event. So, According to some Tipsters, we can expect the Pre-Order of the Foldable Phone on 10 May 2023 via Google Stores with a shipping date of 27 June 2023. The Users who Pre-Order may get the Free Pixel Watch.

What will be the Pricing?

Front Page Tech’s Jon Prosser has revealed the US Pricing in their Youtube Video. The pricing for the 12GB RAM + 256GB ROM variant is $1,799 which is Rs.1,47016 and the 12GB RAM + 512GB ROM variant is $1919 which is Rs.1,56822.

Google is Developing Gemini for Headphones

Google has recently renamed its AI Assistant to Gemini previously Bard. The Gemini app is already available in the U.S., Canada, Asia Pacific, Latin America, and Africa. This app will replace your Google Assistant as well in both Android and iOS.

Note: The Gemini app is expected to be launched in India by next week.

Some reports also suggested that Gemini’s mobile app is working on expanding availability to make it accessible on your headphones very soon. 9to5Google has recently appraised the beta version of the Google app (15.6) that contained the message which is listed below:

Few headphones have a button or a gesture from which we can activate voice assistant. Currently, it is Google Assistant, even if Gemini replaces it on the smartphone. Primarily, Google is focusing on launching the Gemini AI app for smartphones in all regions, especially in Europe. When Gemini expands to audio wearables, then users can expect features such as customizing the playback speed and shorter answers.

If we talk about what this app can do, then this app makes every page text easy, so that you can easily read that along with this it also turns each viewed page into plain text. Furthermore, if you are on the go, then the app can also read the text aloud. So, that you can listen to it. Still, the developers have to note that the app may not work properly with all social media and email apps. However, it might work with all social media and email apps in the future.

In that thread, Pichai mentioned that Google One (a subscription from Google) has crossed 100 Million Subscribers, and Google will be obsessing about” building on that momentum” along with the newly launched AI Premium Plan.
