HTC has announced that a new flagship smartphone featuring HTC’s own metaverse version, Viverse, will be released this month. On June 28th, 2022, the HTC Viverse phone will be unveiled at the company’s “Login Future” event.
The company had previously planned to release a new metaverse-focused smartphone in April, but the launch was postponed due to supply chain concerns. HTC’s Viverse phone will be formally unveiled later this month.

Customers that want to use VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality) apps are claimed to be the target audience for the phone. The forthcoming HTC smartphone will be compatible with the HTC Vive Flow VR headset, and it may also enable augmented reality apps. The phone will be a flagship smartphone, albeit no particular specifications have been released.
The Exodus line of native blockchain smartphones was already released by the company. HTC is said to have teamed up with local carriers Taiwan Mobile, Chunghwa Telecom, and FarEasTone to bring the new smartphone to market. The HTC U12+, which was released four years ago, was the company’s last flagship.
The HTC Wildfire E2 Plus smartphone was introduced in Russia late last month. The phone has a 6.8-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels. It has a Unisoc Tiger T610 octa-core processor. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. A microSD card can be used to expand the storage.
The phone has a quad-camera setup on the back. It has a 13-megapixel primary sensor, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor, as well as a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The device has an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
The handset runs Android 11 as far as software is concerned. There’s also a 4600mAh battery, however, it doesn’t support fast charging. It has a fingerprint scanner on the back for added security. A 3.5mm headphone jack is also included on the phone.
