iQOO Devices Receive April 2023 Security Update: Here’s the List
iQOO, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has started rolling out the April 2023 monthly security patch for its eligible devices. The update includes several bug fixes and performance improvements, making it an important download for iQOO users. The company has already released the Android 13-based FuntouchOS 13 update for all eligible devices globally, and now it is focusing on the security update for April 2023. The iQOO Z5 was the first device to receive the update, but the company is rolling it out to other eligible iQOO phones in the coming days and weeks.
According to reports, the April 2023 update has fixed several issues that were affecting iQOO devices, ensuring a better user experience. The company is rolling out the update for eligible iQOO devices turn by turn, and users who have not yet received it will be able to download it soon.
iQOO Devices list that got April 2023 security update
Here is the list of iQOO devices that have received the April 2023 security update:
- iQOO Z6 5G – 13.1.12.2.W30.V000L1
- iQOO Neo 7 – 13.0.13.2.W30
- iQOO Z5 – 38.0.42
If you own any of these devices, you can check for the update by going to Settings > System > System update. The update may take some time to arrive on your device, as the company is rolling it out gradually.

iQOO, a subbrand of Vivo, which is a Chinese Smartphone Manufacturing company is going to launch its upcoming iQOO Z9 smartphone in India very soon has recently appeared on the Geekbench. The upcoming iQOO Z9 is packed with 8GB RAM.
Moreover, if we talk about the Operating System, then the phone comes with FuntouchOS 14 based on Android 14 out of the box. The codename for the motherboard of iQOO Z9 is denoted as ‘k6886v1_64’ in the Geekbench. The phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset.
The model number of the phone is identified as Vivo I2302. The Vivo I2302 model number has already been certified by Bluetooth SIG and BIS certification. If we talk about the scores, then Vivo l2302 has a Single-Core score of 1186 and a Multi-Core score of 2683.
The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 was released in February 2023 (last year). Redmi Note 13 Pro +, Nothing Phone (2a) (upcoming), Vivo V27, iQoo Z7 Pro, Vivo T2 Pro, Vivo S17e, and Vivo S18e are some of the phones that are also powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor. According to rumors, the iQOO Z9 comes with a 1.5K OLED display.
Until now, the charging watt is revealed yet but if we talk about the battery capacity, then the battery capacity is 6000 mAh. There are two prototype designs, one showed a dual square-shaped camera module. If we talk about the second design, then it shows a dual circular-shaped camera module which we are getting on OnePlus Nord 3, Nord CE 3, and Nord CE 3 Lite. iQOO Z9 is expected to be launched by the first half of 2024.

The upcoming iQOO Neo9 Pro which comes from the Vivo sub-brand, is set to be officially launched on December 27. As the launch date approaches, there’s growing excitement and curiosity about what this new smartphone will bring to the table. Recently, the iQOO Neo9 Pro made headlines by appearing in the Geekbench online database, revealing some key performance metrics.
In the Geekbench 6 tests, the iQOO Neo9 Pro showcased its power with a single-core score of 2,235 and a multi-core score of 7,381.
The heart of the iQOO Neo9 Pro’s performance is the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, MediaTek’s latest top-end chipset. The tested unit also boasted a generous 16GB of RAM. It’s expected that there might be other versions with different memory capacities. The device, which underwent the benchmark test, was operating on Android 14, indicating that it’s up-to-date with the latest Android software. For global markets, this will be complemented with Funtouch OS 14, while in China it will feature Origin OS 4.
Apart from the Neo9 Pro, the standard Neo9 is also expected to make waves with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The Neo9 Pro is anticipated to feature a large 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1260 x 2800 and a high refresh rate of 144 Hz. Storage options could go up to 512GB.
For photography enthusiasts, the phone is rumored to come with a 50 MP main camera at the back and a 16 MP selfie camera at the front. It’s also expected to include an in-display fingerprint scanner for enhanced security. Powering the device is a 5,000 mAh battery, which supports 120W fast wired charging, promising quick recharge times.

iOOO has started rolling out new OTA updates for iQOO 9T users, which bring the August 2023 security patch along with network optimization and fixing some bugs.
The software version for this update is PD2217F_EX_A_13.2.1.16.W30.V0101L3 and the size is 369 MB for iQOO 9T users. This update will roll out in stages, so some users may get it later on their devices.
This update includes the August 2023 Google security patch to add an extra layer of security to the device, protecting it from threats and vulnerabilities. There were some connectivity issues, which are now optimized for better stability, smoother browsing, and better performance.
Also, there was a screen split issue where the abnormal display was happening while an app exited in split-screen mode and then entered full-screen mode. Now it’s been fixed and allows users to enhance multitasking.
