Moto Edge 30 Launching on May 12 in India – Check Specs
Motorola debuted the vanilla Moto Edge 30 late last month, after selling the high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-powered Moto Edge 30 Pro in India and elsewhere. The Lenovo-owned company has now revealed that the Moto Edge 30 will be released in India this month. So, let’s look at the specifics below.
Moto Edge 30 will be available in India soon
The Moto Edge 30’s debut date in India was recently confirmed by Motorola on Twitter. Moto Edge 30 is being marketed as the world’s thinnest 5G smartphone, and it will be released on May 12 in India. You may see the announcement tweet embedded below.

Upon launch, the Moto Edge 30 will be available to buy on Flipkart. Apart from that, the device will also be sold in Reliance Digital Stores and other large-format retail outlets across the country.
Moto Edge 30: Specifications and Features
When it comes to the Moto Edge 30’s core specifications and features, we already have a good sense of what the phone has to offer. It has a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, DCI-P3 colour gamut, and HDR10+ for the 10-bit panel, as previously mentioned. Despite the fact that the display is somewhat smaller than the Moto Edge 30 Pro’s 6.7-inch screen, it nevertheless supports a faster refresh rate.
The phone has a 32MP front-facing camera with pixel-binning technology and a triple-camera setup on the back. A 50MP main camera with All-Pixel Auto Focus and OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens with a 118-degree FOV, and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait pictures are among the features. Different camera modes, such as Dual-Capture, Slow Motion, Face Beauty, and others, are also supported. The Snapdragon 778G+ SoC powers the Moto Edge 30, which was introduced late last year as a beefed-up version of the Snapdragon 778 chipset for affordable 5G devices. The chipset is combined with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal memory, although storage extension is not supported. The smartphone also includes a 4,020mAh battery that supports 33W rapid charging. It has Motorola’s My UX 3.0 skin on top of Android 12 which is nearly stock.
Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, an IP52 rating, a USB-C port, and other features are also available on the Moto Edge 30. It does not, however, include a 3.5mm audio jack.
Moto Edge 30 Expected Price
There’s no word on the price, but given that it launched at €450 (about Rs 36,579) in the worldwide market, we should expect it to cost between Rs 30,000 and Rs 35,000 in India.

Leaked Google Pixel 8a Box Suggests Smaller Form and Fast 27W Charging
Google’s Pixel 8 lineup, i.e. Google Pixel 8 and Google Pixel 8 Pro, was launched in October 2023. But if we talk about the Google Pixel 8a, then it is expected to be launched in May this year. As we know, the Google Pixel 7a was launched in May last year.
Recently, the box for the Google Pixel 8a has leaked. The recent leak includes the retail box of the new Pixel 8a. On the box, we have an Obsidian Black color variant. The Google Pixel 8a will come in 3 colors, i.e. Obsidian Black, Porcelain, and Bay.
If we see the second picture, then it’s visible that this time as well, we have to buy the charger separately (it isn’t included in the box). Also, the new Google Pixel 8a will support 27W charging, which can be a good upgrade from 18W. But still, it won’t compete with 65W, 80W, 100W, and 150W fast charging phones. The phone is expected to come in two storage variants i.e. 8GB RAM /128GB ROM and 8GB RAM/256GB ROM.
The Google Pixel 8a with model number G6GPR, comes with a dual-back camera setup like the Google Pixel 7a and a little underclocked Tensor G3 chipset. Pixel 8a will also be a mid-range phone and is expected to cost $500 (Rs. 42,999) in India like Google Pixel 7a or $50 more i.e. $550 (Rs. 45716.91).

Nothing Phone (2a) Could Be Next as Carl Pei Drops Aerodactyl Teaser
Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing, has hinted at a new smartphone launch this year, sparking speculation that this could be the much-anticipated Nothing Phone (2a). Adding to the intrigue, a follow-up post by the company revealed “Aerodactyl” as a possible codename for this new device.
This mid-range smartphone has been at the center of numerous stories and rumors, drawing significant public interest. Previously, “Pacman” was rumored to be the codename for the Phone (2a). However, a recent report suggests a more nuanced approach with regional codenames – “PacmanIND” for India, “PacmanJPN” for Japan, “PacmanEEA” for Europe, and “Pacman” for the global market.
Adding credibility to these speculations, authorities like the TDRA in the UAE and the BIS in India have certified the smartphone. In the last few days, the company has been generous with details, releasing information about PVT unit photos, expected specs, storage options, color schemes, official wallpapers, and even the launch date and price.
The Phone (2a) is anticipated to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 CPU and a 6.7-inch 1084 x 2412 pixels 120Hz AMOLED display. Camera-wise, it’s equipped with a 50 MP + 50 MP dual-back camera setup, complemented by a 32 MP selfie camera. A robust 4920 mAh battery powers the device. It’s expected to come in two RAM/storage configurations: 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB. Color options are likely to be classic – White and Black.
As for the launch, it’s expected next month, with rumors pointing to February 27, 2024, as a potential date. The Phone (2a) is expected to be priced around $400, €400, or Rs 30,000, making it an attractive option in the mid-range market.
