By Oneplus rolled out August 2020 Android Security Patch update for Oneplus 8 series.The previous Oneplus 8 series update brought July 2020 Android Security Patch level and also added several features including OnePlus Buds support, more clock styles, and more.The update size was 155MB.The update fixed known issues and improved system stability. It also Optimized the touch and interaction experience.
Oneplus 8 series also received OxygenOS 10.5.8 update with May 2020 Android security patch and lots of system,camera and network optimizations.
The changelog of OxygenOS 10.5.8 update included a new auto ultra-wide-angle lens feature for shooting at close range to improve the picture quality of edges in Oneplus 8 Pro only.The update also added support for encoding videos in the H.265 (HEVC) video codec to reduce video storage size.
However, the new update doesn’t add much apart from the latest security patches, a few fixes and features, including an optimized shooting effect with the front camera. Oneplus also fixed an overlapping character display issue with Ambient display in this latest update.
