OnePlus has ended Open Beta for the OnePlus 6 and 6T(Rollback package).

Recently, OnePlus rolled out OxygenOS open beta 6 for Oneplus 6 and OnePlus 6T. The update brought an Android Security patch in March 2020, fixed the screen flickering issue, and improved system stability along with a few bug fixes.

Oneplus allows users to test out new experimental features on their devices by rolling out beta programs. However, it seems like the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T won’t be getting any other open beta build. The company has now officially ended the open beta program for the OnePlus 6 series.

The company has announced the closing of the open beta program for the OnePlus 6 and 6T via a post in the community forum.OnePlus has also shared a rollback build for the open beta users to go back to the stable build. In the post, Oneplus mentioned that OxygenOS Open beta 6 will be the last open beta build for the OnePlus 6 and 6T.

In the post,the company also thanked users for their feedback while being a part of the open beta testing program.

The rollback builds for the OnePlus 6 and 6T will install the OxygenOS 10.3.2 stable version. It is advised to take a complete backup of data before installation as it will wipe off the entire data stored in the phones. You can use the Oneplus switch app to back up and restore all your contacts, call history, messages, multimedia files, system data, and applications.

Steps to follow:

Download the appropriate rollback build
Rollback build for OnePlus 6 
Rollback build for OnePlus 6T
Open the File Manager app on your phone and move the downloaded .zip package file to the root directory on your phone>
Then go to Settings>>System>>System updates and press the gear icon on the top right corner>
press the Local upgrade option and select the rollback file.
