The danger intensifies as scammers can also exploit the compromised accounts to send messages to a victim’s contact list. Consequently, a message to download the malicious WhatsApp Pink app may be distributed to all contacts without the user’s knowledge.

To combat this threat, the Telangana State Cyber Security Bureau has recently issued a warning via Twitter, urging users to exercise caution and refrain from clicking on any links associated with WhatsApp Pink. Their tweet explicitly stated, “Beware of WhatsApp Pink!! A Virus is being spread in #WhatsApp groups with an APK download link. Don’t click any link with the name of WhatsApp Pink.
