Samsung Galaxy Watch Do Not Disturb Bug After One UI 8 Update: Complete Fix Guide

Samsung Galaxy Watch Do Not Disturb bug showing DND turning on automatically after One UI 8 update

Samsung Galaxy Watch Do Not Disturb bug has become a growing concern for users following the rollout of the latest One UI 8 update. If your Galaxy Watch keeps turning off Do Not Disturb (DND) just seconds after enabling it, you’re not alone—and Samsung has now officially acknowledged the issue.

This Samsung Galaxy Watch Do Not Disturb bug has frustrated users who rely on uninterrupted focus during work or sleep.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Do Not Disturb bug: What’s causing the issue after One UI 8?

After updating a paired Samsung phone to One UI 8, many users noticed that enabling Do Not Disturb directly from their Galaxy Watch’s quick settings doesn’t stick. The mode automatically disables itself within a few seconds, defeating the purpose of silencing notifications.

According to Samsung, this bug affects multiple smartwatch models, ranging from the Galaxy Watch 4 series all the way up to the Galaxy Watch 8. Reports have surfaced widely on the Samsung Community forums, with users confirming the same behavior across different regions.

Why Is This Happening?

Samsung explains that the issue is caused by a sync failure between the watch and the connected Galaxy phone. When DND is set to “Until I turn it off” using the watch’s quick panel, the command does not fully sync with the phone running One UI 8. As a result, the phone overrides the setting, forcing Do Not Disturb to turn off automatically on the watch.

Because the Samsung Galaxy Watch Do Not Disturb bug is linked to One UI 8 sync behavior, the issue does not occur on older software versions.

How to fix Samsung Galaxy Watch Do Not Disturb bug temporarily

While Samsung works on a permanent solution, there are two reliable workarounds shared by a Samsung community moderator.

Method 1: Enable DND from Watch Settings

Instead of using quick settings, open Settings on your Galaxy Watch, navigate to Notifications, and enable Do Not Disturb from there. This method ensures the command syncs correctly.

Until Samsung releases a patch, these workarounds remain the most reliable way to manage the Samsung Galaxy Watch Do Not Disturb bug.

Method 2: Enable DND from Your Phone

Turn on Do Not Disturb directly from your connected Galaxy phone. When enabled on the phone, the setting syncs properly and remains active on the watch until you turn it off.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Do Not Disturb bug confirmed by Samsung

Samsung has confirmed that it is preparing a software update to resolve the Galaxy Watch Do Not Disturb bug. Users are advised to keep the Galaxy Wearable app updated to receive the fix as soon as it’s released.

Samsung has assured users that the Samsung Galaxy Watch Do Not Disturb bug will be resolved in an upcoming software update.

This DND issue is not the only problem reported after the One UI 8 and Wear OS 6 rollout. Some users have also flagged sensor malfunctions on the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and display issues affecting third-party watch faces, highlighting the need for prompt stability updates.

AI-generated image collage showing animated characters, realistic human portraits, and artistic visuals demonstrating image-to-video transformation

Runway Gen-4.5 Image to Video Tool is setting a new benchmark in AI-powered video generation by enabling creators to transform any static image into a dynamic, realistic video. Whether the input is a real photograph, an AI-generated image, a sketch, or an illustration, the tool aims to deliver smooth motion, consistent visuals, and better control than previous generations.

Runway Gen-4.5 Image to Video Tool: Key Features and Capabilities

Developed by Runway, Gen-4.5 builds on years of research that began with Gen-1, the first publicly available video generation model released two years ago. Since then, Runway has consistently improved its models to offer creators greater flexibility, realism, and predictability in generated videos.

The Runway Gen-4.5 Image to Video Tool is designed for creators who want more control over AI-generated motion and visual consistency.

Gen-4.5 is designed to push the boundaries of dynamic action generation and temporal consistency. According to the company, the model introduces significant improvements in both pre-training data efficiency and post-training techniques. These upgrades help the system better understand motion, maintain visual continuity across frames, and respond more accurately to user prompts.

Compared to earlier models, the Runway Gen-4.5 Image to Video Tool delivers smoother transitions and more predictable results.

How the Runway Gen-4.5 Image to Video Tool Improves AI Video Generation

One of the most notable achievements of Runway Gen-4.5 is its performance score. With 1,247 Elo points, the model currently holds the top position on the Artificial Analysis Text-to-Video benchmark, surpassing all competing video generation models. This score highlights its strength in producing coherent and visually convincing video sequences.

Powered by NVIDIA GPUs

The entire development pipeline of Gen-4.5, from research and pre-training to inference, runs on NVIDIA GPUs. Inference is optimized for NVIDIA Hopper and Blackwell series GPUs, ensuring faster processing and more stable outputs even for complex video generations.

With the Runway Gen-4.5 Image to Video Tool, users can experiment with image-based storytelling without complex video editing workflows.

Known Limitations Still Remain

Despite the progress, Runway acknowledges that Gen-4.5 shares some limitations common to current video generation models. These include occasional issues with causal reasoning, object permanence, and a tendency toward “success bias,” where actions succeed more often than they realistically should. However, these challenges are industry-wide and continue to be areas of active research.

These improvements make the Runway Gen-4.5 Image to Video Tool suitable for marketing, filmmaking, and content creation use cases.

Why Gen-4.5 Matters

By combining high benchmark performance, improved controllability, and broad image compatibility, Runway Gen-4.5 positions itself as a powerful tool for creators, filmmakers, and marketers exploring AI-driven video workflows.

Apple AI-powered Siri Gets Its Biggest Upgrade Yet

Apple AI-powered Siri is set to undergo its most significant transformation in years as Apple prepares to enter the next phase of the artificial intelligence race. According to a detailed report by Bloomberg, Apple is working on a next-generation version of Siri that will function as a full-scale AI chatbot, fundamentally changing how users interact with their devices.

Apple AI-powered Siri represents a strategic shift for Apple as it rethinks how users interact with artificial intelligence across its ecosystem.

How Apple AI-powered Siri Will Work as a Chatbot

Internally referred to as “Campos,” the redesigned assistant is expected to be deeply integrated across Apple’s core platforms, including iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Unlike the current Siri interface, Campos is designed to fully replace the existing experience with a more conversational, flexible system that supports both voice and text-based interactions. This move signals a clear shift toward chatbot-style assistants that can handle more complex queries, contextual follow-ups, and task management.

Apple’s renewed focus on Siri comes after mixed feedback to its Apple Intelligence features introduced in 2024. While the company emphasized on-device processing and privacy, many users felt the tools lagged behind competitors in capability. With Campos, Apple appears determined to close that gap by rethinking how Siri works at a foundational level.

With Apple AI-powered Siri, the company is aiming to deliver a smarter, more contextual assistant that feels closer to a real conversation.
