Amazon Fire 7, Fire 7 Kids Tablets Now Available with 10-Hour Battery Life

Amazon has introduced two new tablets in the United States: the Amazon Fire 7 and the Fire 7 Kids version. These new tablets have up to 40% greater battery life and double the RAM of the previous generation of Fire 7 tablets. Both tablets have similar features, including a 7-inch IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 1,024×600 pixels.

The Amazon Fire 7 starts at $59.99 (about Rs 4,600) and is available for pre-order on the Amazon US website. The new Fire 7 will be available in black, denim, and rose colours, with matching covers, for $28.99 (about Rs 2,240) and will begin arriving on June 29.

Pre-orders for the Fire 7 Kids begin at $109.99 (about Rs 8,500), with storage options of 16GB or 32GB. The tablet includes a redesigned kid-proof case in blue, red, and purple, as well as an adjustable kickstand that doubles as a grip.

The Amazon Fire 7, Fire 7 Kids, and Fire 7 have a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1,200600 pixels that supports SD video playback. These tablets are powered by an unknown 2GHz CPU and 2GB of RAM. They come with 16GB and 32GB storage variants. There is also a MicroSD slot for storage extension of up to 1TB.

The tablets have a 40% longer battery life, allowing for up to 10 hours of surfing, movie watching, and other activities. It includes a USB-C connector as well as a 5W in-box adapter. The tablets are designed for video calls in landscape mode and have 2MP front and rear-facing cameras with 720p HD video recording for photographs and video chats.

Customers may ask Alexa to play videos and music, open apps, shop online, check the weather, access compatible smart home devices, call or message practically anyone, and much more by simply saying “Alexa.” You have control over your Alexa settings and may switch off hands-free mode at any moment, which was designed with your privacy in mind. Apps such as Disney+, Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, and HBO Max are also supported.
