Apple ID Loan Scams Under Scrutiny in China, iPhone Users Advised Caution

Chinese Authorities arrested people who are involved in the “Apple ID loan scams”. This operation targets iPhone users, and the issues of online fraud can be seen daily. Fraudsters are tricking iPhone users into giving up their Apple IDs for loans. After that, these scammers use these IDs to abuse victims.

A few of these fraudsters also used Tim Cook’s name, CEO of Apple, to acquire trust. Till now, about 40 people have been arrested, impacting more than 20K victims and compelling 130 million yuan. This is a reminder for all iPhone users worldwide to protect their digital identities. Notably, smartphones are mostly used for personal and financial tasks.

The Chinese police have taken a good step against online fraud. But people have to be aware of digital security. As we know, online frauds are increasing day by day. So, we suggest not sharing your account details, personal accounts, and Apple IDs for loans or any other purposes with others.
