India has announced its 15-member esports team for the upcoming Asian Games 2022. The squad will compete in four games: FIFA22, League of Legends, Street Fighter V, and DOTA 2.

Participants by Game:

  • FIFA22: Players Charanjot Singh and Karman Singh Tikka.
  • League of Legends: Team Temple of Kings featuring Akshaj Shenoy, Samarth Arvind Trivedi, Mihir Ranjan, Aditya Selvaraj, Aakash Shandilya, and Sanindhya Malik.
  • Street Fighter V: Mayank Prajapati and Ayan Biswas.
  • DOTA 2: Darshan Bata, Krish Gupta, Abhishek Yadav, Ketan Goyal, and Shubham Goli.

Fans who want to support the Indian team can catch live streams on the Sony LIV app and website.

The esports events are part of the Hangzhou Asian Games, taking place at China Hangzhou Esports Centre. They will run from September 24 to October 2. Athletes from various countries will compete for seven gold medals across seven esports events:

  1. Arena of Valor Asian Games Version
  2. Dota 2
  3. Dream Three Kingdoms 2
  4. FIFA Online 4
  5. League of Legends
  6. Peace Elite Asian Games Version
  7. Street Fighter V: Champion Edition

India is set to participate in DOTA 2, FIFA Online 4, League of Legends, and Street Fighter V: Champion Edition.

Schedule for Esports Asian Games:

  • FIFA Online 4: Single-player game from September 24 to 27.
  • League of Legends: Team-based game from September 25 to 29.
  • Street Fighter V: Champion Edition: Single-player game from September 26 to 28.
  • DOTA 2: Team-based game from September 29 to October 2.
