ASUS ROG Phone 5 series launched with Snapdragon 888 and upto 18GB RAM

ASUS has officially launched its fourth generation of gaming smartphones-  ROG Phone 5, ROG Phone 5 Pro, and ROG Phone 5 Ultimate.

All three smartphones have an identical design except for the color and the secondary screen. The ROG Phone 5 features a dot-matrix RGB LED, the ROG Phone 5 Pro has a color POMLED display and ROG Phone 5 Ultimate has monochrome ROG Vision screen.

Asus ROG Phone 5 series is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 capacity. The standard and Pro model comes with a 16GB RAM and 512GB storage options whereas the Ultimate edition comes with 18GB RAM.

All the three models comes with a 6.78-inch FHD+ ( 2448 x 1080 pixels) Samsung Super AMOLED Display (E4) with up to 144Hz refresh rate and an in-screen unique finger impression sensor.

These handsets uphold 5G, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and double recurrence GNSS (GPS, Globass, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, NavIC), 3.5mm earphone jack and 2 x USB Type-C ports.

On camera front, they have a triple camera arrangement on the back comprising of a 64MP Sony IMX686 essential sensor, a 13MP super wide unit, and a 5MP full scale shooter. There is a 24MP forward looking camera for selfies and video calls.

Different highlights of these cell phones incorporate a hold recognition sensor, Ultrasonic sensors for AirTrigger 5, Pixelworks i6 Processor, double sound system speakers, Nokia OZO Audio, double Cirrus Logic CS35L45 Mono AMP, ESS Saber ES9280AC Pro QUAD DAC, heaps of gaming-focused highlights.

The Pro and Ultimate models have two extra touch sensors on the back. The ROG Phone 5 series measure 172.8 x 77.2 x 10.29mm in measurements and weighs 238g.

The three handsets draws power from a double 3000mAh battery with support for 65W quick charging and Qualcomm Quick Charge 5.0. In any case, it is important that in certain locales, ASUS will transport the gadgets with a 30W charger.
