BGMI Receives Green Light from Indian Government Post 3-Month Trial Period

Krafton, which is a South Korean gaming company, got approval from the Indian government to run the most popular game, BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India). As the game was temporarily banned back in 2022, due to some privacy issues.

Back in May 2023, the game was back on the Play Store and App Store, and since then Krafton has made sure everything went right and didn’t break the rules set by the MeitY. The game was officially relaunched on May 29, 2023 and it completed its 3-month trial period on July 29, 2023.

Talking about the Indian gaming scene, the gamers from India loved BGMI the most rather than other games as it is played on smartphones. Since the game was banned back in 2022 and there was no replacement for it.

Krafton released a special version of PUBG Mobile with rebranding the game with another name which is now BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) in 2021. After an year Krafton had stop its operation for the game due to privacy issues. Still, the company had tried its best to bring the game back, and finally it’s back in May 2023.

The Indian government set a three-month trail period for the BGMI game which is now over. Now Krafton India can experiment with new things with the game, but keep in mind that the Indian government still watching them. Some sources also say that it will be checked every three months to see if anything goes wrong again.
