In China, OPPO has officially introduced the ColorOS 12. The company’s latest mobile operating system, as expected, is based on Android 12. It includes a new set of features as well as some design changes.
OPPO disclosed the smartphones that would be updated to the latest version of ColorOS 12 at the conclusion of the ColorOS 12 presentation. According to the plan, over half of all eligible devices will receive the upgrade (at least in public beta) by the end of 2021.
According to the company’s update plan, current-generation flagship models such as the OPPO Find X3 series and the OnePlus 9 series will receive the Android 12-based ColorOS 12 update in October. In November, the OPPO Find X2 and OPPO Reno6 series will be available, followed by the OPPO Ace2 and Reno5 series, as well as several OPPO K/A series phones in December.
Finally, in the first half of 2022, the remaining OPPO Reno series devices (up to 3rd generation), select OPPO K/A series smartphones, the original OPPO Ace models, and OnePlus phones (up to 7th generation and 9R) will be updated.

OPPO, like any other OEM, notes that ColorOS 12 availability for the above-mentioned handsets is subject to vary based on a variety of variables. Also, because this timeframe is only for Open Beta, the final release will most likely take place in a month or two after the specified months.
