Google Dialer Introduces New Call Interface Across All Smartphones [Phone App]
Google Dialer, also known as “Phone by Google,” has unveiled a new call interface that is now being widely rolled out to smartphones. Users who have updated to version 104.0.527367108 of the Phone app are already experiencing the revamped interface, which offers enhanced accessibility and a visually appealing design.
The most significant change in the update is the repositioning of in-call options such as mute, keypad, audio output, and call recording. These options are now conveniently accessible in a card-style format located at the bottom of the screen. Upon opening the card, users are presented with three visible options by default: Keypad, Mute, and audio output selector.
By tapping the three-dot “More” button on the card, additional options appear in a row above. The keypad is also seamlessly integrated into this card layout. Moreover, the call interface and card background dynamically adhere to Google’s Material You design guidelines, resulting in a visually cohesive experience.
The previous interface placed the in-call utility options at the center of the screen, frequently necessitating the use of both hands. This counter replaces the floating bubble previously used when engaging with other applications during a call, providing users with a more streamlined experience.
