How to Lock Bootloader in All Oneplus Smartphones (2022) – Step by Step Guide

OnePlus is a favorite among custom ROM communities and Root modding enthusiasts. Bootloader unlock on OnePlus smartphones is very easy. But some people lose Widevine L1 and some company apps won’t work with an unlocked bootloader. Also, it’s recommended to lock the bootloader before going to the service center.  So,  let’s see how to LOCK the bootloader of Any Oneplus Smartphone.

Prerequisite :

• • A Windows PC  with At least windows 7 ultimate
  • ADB Drivers XDA : Download
  • Oneplus Drivers : Download.
  • A peace of MIND and Common Sense 

1. Install ADB Drivers on PC.

TYPE Y and press Enter until you finish the ADB setup

After finishing the ADB setup you will see a folder named ADB in C-Drive

2. OEM Bootloader LOCK

★Take your OnePlus smartphone with at Atleast 80% battery.
★Open settings<About phone Tap build number 7 times until you see you are a developer

★Now open developer options and Turn on ‘USB Debugging’ Settings

★After this Now enter into fast boot mode and Connect your Device to your PC via USB CABLE.

★Now open the ADB folder in C-drive. Type cmd in Address Bar. Then you will see the ADB command prompt screen.

★Type fastboot devices or ADB devices and hit enter key to check if the device is connected properly. If there is any serial number after hitting enter then your device is connected properly.

★Type fastboot OEM lock. Then you can see a Screen on Your phone with options to LOCK or Not. Navigate with volume buttons and Press accept to lock the bootloader with the Power button.
(warning: as a safety measure Your Data will be wiped )

Voila, Now your device bootloader is successfully locked, and wait for some time until it boots into OS.

Method for custom Rom Users

We recommend custom ROM users Do not lock their Bootloader in Custom Roms although in some stable ROMs like pixel experience and lineage os. Prefer Locking the Bootloader only in Stock Oxygen OS.
