Job Simulator & Vacation Simulator are one of the popular simulation games which can be played in a VR (Virtual Reality) headset. Until now, these both are available on PlayStation VR and Meta Quest.

UploadVR, a Unity website has already confirmed that Job Simulator and Vacation Simulator will be available for the Vision Pro. This is because Unity is hosting a round table for developers who are interested in bringing their games in the visionOS. The description of the event arranges how Owlchemy Studios is uainf Unity to port its games to the Apple Vision Pro.

Join us for a roundtable on February 27, 2024 at 11:30 am ET / 8:30 am PT to learn how cross-industry experts used Unity’s visionOS Support to create games, apps, and spatial experiences for Apple Vision Pro. […] Hear how Owlchemy Studios brought their popular titles, Job Simulator and Vacation Simulator, over in the fully immersive (VR) space,” the event description reads.

Recently, Apple has confirmed that more than 1,000 apps are specially designed for Apple’s VR headset i.e. Vision Pro. But whenever it comes to VR games, there are only a few games that are available for the Apple Vision Pro. Moreover, Vision Pro can run iPad games as well, but if we talk about the experience, then with some games the interaction is not as good as they run in a 2D window.

If more VR games are available in the VisionOS App Store, then it will help Apple to boost interest in the Apple Vision Pro as a game console. Apple has its own RealityKit API. Additionally, the visionOS SDK also supports Unity frameworks, a common engine for building 3D games.

When Apple’s VR headset, Vision Pro was announced at WWDC 2023 in June, then in that event, Apple also highlighted that developers can easily port their existing Unity-created projects to visionOS. Both Apple and Unity have been working together to build and improve these tools.

Unity’s PolySpatial technology was launched last month for Unity Pro, Industry, and Enterprise subscribers. With this new PolySpatial technology, developers can make apps for cross-platform XR (extended reality).
