On May 20th, Qualcomm Technologies unveiled its next mobile platform range, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, to power the next generation of premium Android devices. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 platform, the company’s newest flagship platform, is a premium-tier powerhouse that delivers power and performance advancements for ultimate boosts across all device experiences.

An upgraded Qualcomm Adreno GPU provides up to 10% quicker speeds and 30% less power consumption for the ultimate gaming experience. Users can expect up to 60 minutes of longer gameplay thanks to the platform’s increased battery efficiency. Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 also includes a Qualcomm Kyro CPU, which provides up to 10% quicker processing and up to 30% better power efficiency. TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Ltd.) 4nm technology is used in the platform.

The Qualcomm FastConnect 6900 provides excellent experiences through Wi-Fi 6/6E and Bluetooth 5.3, as well as outstanding 8K HDR video capture. The Snapdragon X65 5G Modem-RF technology provides exceptional speed and efficiency, allowing people to speak for up to 5½ hours longer. It can support up to a 200 MP camera and has a refresh rate of 60Hz in 4K and 144Hz in QHD+. It features a high-performance storage interface, UFS 3.1, as well as USB 3.1.
