Official Android 10 Based on HydrogenOS For Oneplus 5 and 5T.

Oneplus rolled out OxygenOS 9.0.10 update for Oneplus 5 and Oneplus 5T users in December 2019. The latest update brought December 2019 Android security patch along with improvement in system stability and some bug fixes.

Later,OnePlus made an official statement that Android 10 will be made available for both OnePlus 5 and 5T users.This latest software will be their major OS upgrade for both Oneplus 5 and 5T.

The released date of Android 10 update for Oneplus 5 and Oneplus 5T was not announced by Oneplus but a timeline was given for second quarter of this year. Android 10 would be the last version update for OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. Oneplus 5 and Onelus 5T won’t be eligible to get the Android 11 update.

We have some good news for Oneplus 5 and 5T users, an internal leak of HydrogenOS based on Android 10 is now available and one can manually install it at their own risk.

The device used for this update is Oneplus 5 which has Snapdragon 855 processor with storage option of 8GB RAM+128GB ROM. The android version is 10 with HydrogenOS version 10.0.0. The build number is OneplusA5000_23_200316 with android security patch of 5th february 2020.

To install HydrogenOS 10.0, we need to perform a local upgrade method. First place the Zipfile inside root directory of internal storage then go to settings > system > system update > tap on gear icon on the right top corner > select local upgrade > choose zip file > tap upgrade now.

Before installation,take complete backup of your device and once installation is completed we need to perform clean wipe for better performance of the device.
