OnePlus 12R Launching in India January 23 with Expected Specs and Prices

OnePlus is all set to launch its upcoming smartphone “OnePlus 12R,” in India. The big event is planned for January 23, and it’s going to be a double treat as the OnePlus 12 will also make its debut. But before the official launch, some exciting details have emerged.

The OnePlus 12R will be available on Amazon and will come in two classic colors: blue and black. While the Amazon page confirms the launch date, it keeps other major details under wraps.

What to Expect from OnePlus 12R:

The OnePlus 12R is looking like a rebrand of the OnePlus Ace 3 launched in China. It’s expected to pack some serious power with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, made using a 4nm process. This chip will be paired with an Adreno 740 GPU, perfect for graphic-heavy apps and games.

The display is a big talking point. It might feature a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED screen, boasting a resolution of 2780 x 1264 pixels and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Durability is key, with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for protection and a peak brightness of 1600 nits.

The OnePlus 12R is expected to have a triple camera setup, led by a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. A 16MP front camera should take care of selfies and video calls. And to keep you going, there’s a 5500mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC fast charging.

Pricing and Competition:

The OnePlus 12R could be a game-changer in the premium mid-range phone market. With up to 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and a massive 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, it’s ready to compete with phones like the Nothing Phone (2) and Samsung S23 FE. The OnePlus 12R is expected to be priced around Rs 40,000.
