OnePlus New affordable smart TV to debut on July 2.

Last year in September, Oneplus launched its two TV in India- ”Oneplus TV Q1 and Oneplus TV Q1 Pro”.The Oneplus TV Q1 was priced at Rs. 69,900 whereas the Oneplus TV Q1 Pro was priced at Rs. 99,900.

Today, OnePlus founder and CEO Pete Lau announced on Twitter that the company will be launching a new affordable smart OnePlus TV on July 2 in India.He tweeted, “It’s official. We’re making our premium smart TV experience more accessible to our Indian community.”

Pete Lau’s tweet clarifies that the company will not compromise on the offerings of its affordable TV and will offer premium features just as its expensive smart TVs.

The new smart TV from OnePlus for Indian consumers will have a “smarter price.The company aims to bring premium smart TV experience to the Indian community. Hence, upcoming OnePlus TV could be cheaper than the OnePlus TV Q1.

OnePlus India’s chief strategy officer Navnit Nakra told to Economics times,OnePlus is planning to launch new TVs to diversify its offerings and reach a wider audience.The report further suggests that there could be an entry-level OnePlus TV with a pricing of around Rs. 15,00 (~$200). The company is also planning to introduce a mid-range TV series that could be priced around Rs. 20,000 (~$264) and Rs. 40,000 (~$529).

Navnit Nakra told Economics times that with better connectivity and over the top content availability, the smart TV segment is growing and the brand is looking at new product lines to reach more customers.

A lot of brands are now making smart TVs in India.Xiaomi,Realme,Nokia and Motorola recently launched their smart Tv’s in India. Recently, a 55-inch Oneplus smart TV with 55UA0A00 model number and an RC-003A remote control were spotted at the Bluetooth SIG certification platform.It is equipped with a MediaTek SoC as per rumors.
