Oneplus rolled out Oxygen OS Open Beta 5 for Oneplus 8 & 8 Pro

Last month, Oneplus rolled out Oxygen OS Open Beta 4 for Oneplus 8 and 8 Pro with November 2020 security patch and fixes some bugs with optimizations.

The last update also brought a new feature- “Picture-in-picture” which supports the constant light function of the interest screen. Open Beta 4 update also brought many system optimizations and fixed issues related to music and games.

Today, Oneplus rolled out Oxygen OS Open Beta 5 for Oneplus 8&8 Pro. The update has been rolled out via incremental OTA. The update size is 425MB.

Oxygen OS Open Beta 5 brought December 2020 Android Security Patch along with system optimizations and bug fixes.

System

• Optimized the startup speed of some apps for a faster launch experience.
• Fixed the small probability issue that receiving messages may delay.
• Fixed the issue that the volume adjustment has a small probability of failure.
• Fixed the small probability issue that the speaker doesn’t work.
• Updated Android Security patch to 2020.12

Camera

• Refresh the animation effects when activating the front camera.

Game Sapce

• Newly added Rewind Recording where you can record the exciting moments in the game of past 30 seconds with just one tap( Swipe down from the upper left or right corner to quickly open in the Gaming Tools)

Bluetooth

• Fixed the issue that the call may freeze when receiving the phone when playing music via Bluetooth.

• Optimized the user experience with split screen
• Fixed the issue that gaming frame rate decreases when pulling down the status bar

• Fixed the issue that play store cannot install the apps
• Fixed the lagging issue with Mx player
• Updated Android security patch to 2020.11

Network

• Fixed the low Probability automatically Wifi disconnection issue
