Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 vs Mediatek Dimensity 9000 Which is Best : See Why Mediatek is winning this Year

Qualcomm used to have the best-performing Android chipsets, and it still does. AnTuTu’s performance charts, on the other hand, show that the competition is more intense than ever. And it’s even smaller than before – HiSilicon is no longer a factor, and Samsung simply doesn’t sell Exynos flagships in China (where AnTuTu is based, so the charts are skewed towards that market).

Starting with the flagships, Red Magic 7 Pro, iQOO 9 (Chinese version), and iQOO 9 Pro are the top three Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phones.

The Dimensity 9000 from MediaTek, on the other hand, is knocking on the door. The Redmi K50 Pro is ranked fourth (it should be known as the Poco F4), and the Oppo X5 Pro (for China) is ranked sixth. The rest of the Top 10 are Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 devices, but the Dimensity is only a few percentage points behind the best.

The AnTuTu team attributes the Red Magic’s high score to its superior cooling – it’s a gaming phone with a built-in fan – which allowed the chipset to run at high frequencies. The iQOOs are also gaming phones, and while they lack fans, their cooling is more robust than that of most phones.

AnTuTu writes that Oppo uses a more conservative governor in the two Dimensity 9000 models, which keeps the Find X5 Pro’s performance slightly behind the Redmi. The K50 Pro did not automatically enter performance mode during the test, which prevented it from exceeding one million.

The battle between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and the Dimensity 9000 is not one-sided. The MediaTek chip outperformed the Qualcomm chip in CPU performance, but its Mali-G710 MC10 GPU lagged behind the Qualcomm chip’s Adreno 730. That’s not surprising given that the Adreno has long been the most efficient GPU for Android.

Conclusion

Snapdragon 8 GEN 1is manufactured by Samsung , while Mediatek Dimensity 9000 is made by TSMC

Undoubtedly Mediatek Dimensity 9000 is a better SOC This time With better thermals and Less Throttling. However Snapdragon 8 gen 1 is still slightly better in raw power and GPU with Adreno 730 .

For Now Mediatek Dimensity 9000 is a better pick until Snapdragon do wonders with Snapdragon 8 gen 1 Plus Which is made by TSMC .
