Samsung Galaxy S20 5G Series Software Update: May 2022 Security Patch

Because it’s the start of the month, we should expect the latest security patch for May to begin rolling out to a growing number of Samsung Galaxy smartphones. The Galaxy S20 5G series is next in line for the May 2022 security patch, and the new software is now rolling out in Europe.

The May 2022 security patch is now available in Germany for the Galaxy S20 5G (SM-G981B), Galaxy S20+ 5G (SM-G986B), and Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G (SM-G988B). The firmware version of the upgrade is G98xBXXUEFVDB.

Customers using the Galaxy S20 in Germany should receive the update notification at any time. The same notification can be prompted via the “Software update” menu in the Settings app. Readers who prefer to update their devices manually can do so by downloading the official firmware files from the SamMobile website.
