What’s New in the OnePlus Community: March 2023 Update

OnePlus has announced its latest community update, introducing a range of new features to its platform. The March 2023 update includes both front-facing and behind-the-scenes improvements, such as an optimized code structure for faster loading speeds and bug fixes related to the user interface, fonts, and editor.

One notable addition to the platform is the Draft Box, which provides users with a dedicated space to save their thread drafts. This new feature will ensure that users never lose a long essay again due to an editor closure, as drafts will be accessible across both the Community App and web versions.

Other updates include a new login safety logic that will expire user login after seven days of inactivity. However, if a user continues to visit the Community, their session will remain logged in for 30 consecutive days, which applies to the web version only.

Furthermore, photo preview is now available on the website, and users can navigate through photos on a thread. The Strikethrough option has been added to the editor, enabling users to cross out text. Users can also add a watermark to images shared through the app, and share a profile page directly from the app.

One of the most significant updates is the introduction of Topics, which will allow users to categorize their threads using predefined topics, similar to hashtags. This feature improves the visibility of similar content across multiple Circles, and while it is already implemented, it will only go live after the topics list is set.

To tackle spam, new limitations for newly registered user accounts have also been introduced.

OnePlus continues to work on more features to be released in the next month. The company advises users to stay tuned for further updates.
