Airtel Xstream Fiber now available in Ladakh, Andaman Islands and Nicobar Islands

One of the most widely used broadband services in India is Airtel Xtsream Fiber. In some domestic regions, such as Ladakh and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, we were unable to use the Airtel Xstream internet service until now, when Airtel released its Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) broadband service in these areas.

Fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) services are those in which individual homes or multitenant buildings are directly connected to fiber connections, allowing individuals to access the internet from the comfort of their own homes. Lieutenant Governor R K Mathur of Ladakh highlighted the significance of connection based on optical fiber cables (OFC) for all hamlets in the Union Territory back in March. He informed the providers that they will receive the necessary assistance in deploying mobile towers and digital connections throughout Ladakh.

Airtel took advantage of the opportunity and became the first private ISP to roll out FTTH broadband in these remote areas, providing customers with digital access by “connecting them to the data superhighway.” Customers in Leh, Ladakh, and Port Blair, Andaman, and Nicobar Islands, can now use Airtel Xstream Fiber broadband. Airtel also indicated that the service will be expanded to additional significant regional locations in the coming months.
