Google Assistant can now notify you when you need to change your password and even assist you in doing so

Chrome can also warn you if your saved passwords are unsafe or have been reused as a result of a data breach. Google announced in 2021 that it would roll out the ability to automatically handle changing compromised passwords for you, but most people still had to do it manually.

The feature, however, does not work on all websites. Google has not yet published requirements for websites to support auto-change, but it stands to reason that the list of venues will begin small and gradually expand.

You can also manually initiate a password check by going to Chrome settings > Passwords, where you’ll also find the blue Assistant-branded “Change password” button for compromised login credentials.

Google’s Duplex on the Web, which parses site content to automate specific processes, enables the feature. Google uses it for things like ordering takeout through Search and has now expanded it to change account passwords.
