How to Install ColorOS 12.1 C.61 on Oneplus 9 & 9 Pro – Step by Step Guide
The OnePlus 10 Pro had its global debut in China in January. It’s the first OnePlus Pro phone to be released in the company’s home nation. It’s also the first device to run ColorOS 12.1 out of the box. Two months later, a OnePlus executive says that the company’s last-generation flagship devices will get a ColorOS update. In China, the ColorOS 12.1 update for the Oneplus 9 and 9 pro has already begun.
The OnePlus 9 and Oneplus 9 Pro from last year will be updated to ColorOS 12.1 soon, according to Liu Fengshuo, the head of the OnePlus product portfolio on Weibo. He believes that by the end of March, these devices will have received the most recent version of OPPO’s mobile operating system.
In terms of new features, ColorOS 12.1 includes HyperBoost technology for gaming, AI features for a seamless experience and other minor improvements.
Oneplus has begun rolling out OxygenOS 12 for the Oneplus 8, 8pro, 8T, and 9R. The update is around 800MB in size and includes Optimized desktop icons with enhanced texturing, as well as various enhancements to Dark mode, Shelf, Worklife balance, Gallery, CanvasAOD, and Bluetooth. Users on the Open Beta platform will be the first to receive this update, followed by those on the Stable platform.

- Make Sure your device is running OxygenOS 12 C.47 or any Lower version
- Download ColorOS 12.1 for your Device & place inside Internal storage: ColorOS 12.1 C.61
- Download Oneplus Local update app: Download from Telegram – Official Link
- Install Oneplus local update app & open.
- Now tap the Gear icon on the right top corner and select local update
- Choose Zip file of ColorOS 12.1
- Wait for Installation to Complete once done reboot the phone
- Enjoy ColorOS 12.1.
