Samsung Galaxy A71 Receives April 2022 Security Update in Europe

In the last week of March 2022, Samsung began pushing out the April 2022 security update. The Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 were the first phones to receive the new update, and additional phones and tablets have received it in recent weeks. The update has now begun to go out to the Galaxy A71.

The new update for the Galaxy A71 comes with firmware version A715FXXU8CVD1. It’s already available in Poland, but it might be available in other European countries in a matter of days. The April 2022 security patch addresses a total of 88 privacy and security flaws. It also improved the stability of the system and fixed a few problems.

If you have a Galaxy A71 and live in Poland, go to Settings » Software update and tap on Download and install to start checking for the latest security update. Alternatively, you can manually flash the firmware file after getting it from the database and installing it.

Samsung released the Galaxy A71 in early 2020, with One UI 2 based on Android 10. The smartphone received the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update in early 2021. The One UI 4 upgrade for the smartphone, based on Android 12, was issued earlier this year by the South Korean company.
