The Vivo X80 series, which includes the X80 and X80 Pro, will be released on May 18 at 12 p.m., as per Vivo. According to a dedicated microsite, the Vivo X80 series will be available for purchase on Flipkart.

The new Vivo X80 series, which aims to “redefine cinematography,” includes the company’s V1+ imaging technology, which improves low-light photography and makes the photographs more brighter. As previously stated, the cameras are backed by ZEISS and have features like the ZEISS classic portrait lens effect, ZEISS Cinematic Bokeh, ZEISS Natural Color 2.0, and others. The ZEISS T* coating also helps to prevent ghosting and stray light.

The X80 has three rear cameras: a 50-megapixel main camera with a Sony IMX866 RGB sensor and OIS, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 12-megapixel portrait lens. The X80 Pro features a 50MP Samsung GNV sensor with OIS, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, a 12MP portrait lens, and an 8MP periscope lens with OIS.

While the Vivo X80 Pro has two chipset options: a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and a MediaTek Dimensity 9000, the X80 only has the Dimensity 9000. Both smartphones have a 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED 2K E5 LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

Both models support 80W fast charging, but the X80 has a 4,500mAh battery while the Pro has a larger 4,700mAh battery. There’s no word on the price yet, but the Vivo X80 series is expected to start at under Rs 60,000 to compete with the OnePlus 10 Pro, Realme GT 2 Pro, Xiaomi 12 Pro, and others.
