WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is apparently working on a new feature that will allow users to see detailed reaction information for automatic albums. This would show a thumbnail of the media together with detailed message reaction data.

Whatsapp Detailed Reaction Feature

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp will soon allow users to see which photograph in an album has received the most likes without having to open it. In addition, detailed reaction views will be added to the group and private discussions. However, because the feature is still in development, it will not be available to beta testers.

When someone sends reactions to an image in an automatic album on WhatsApp, it is impossible to see which media has got the reaction without first accessing the album. A screenshot of the functionality is also included in the report, which shows a new media thumbnail with detailed reaction data. The difference between the present version and the one that will be released in a future update will be displayed. To receive a detailed picture of the reactions, the user does not need to choose every image.

Users will find the feature quite useful. They won’t have to look through each image in an album to see how others react. Instead, you’ll be able to see all of the reactions in one spot very shortly.

When sharing a link as a text status update, WhatsApp is also working on the ability to produce rich previews. There is currently a preview when sharing a link to text status updates on WhatsApp beta for Android, however, it is not a rich preview. The feature is presently being tested in the iOS app and should be available in the future for Android and PCs.
