Google is set to launch the Pixel 8 series soon and it’s one of the most awaited phones of the year. We’ve seen official images and heard numerous rumors. Now we have leaked pricing and camera details. Here’s a sneak peek.

Pixel 8 Series Leaked Price

Kamila Wojciechowska, an X (previously Twitter) user, shared that the Pixel 8 will cost more than its predecessor, the Pixel 7. The starting price is $699 or about Rs 58,100. That’s $100 more than the Pixel 7’s launch price.

Interestingly, the Pixel 8 Pro will keep its price consistent with the Pixel 7 Pro. It’s set to start at $899 or approximately Rs 74,700. There’s no clear reason why Google is raising the price for the base model but keeping the Pro at the same rate. Some might find this disappointing. But this isn’t the first time we’re hearing about this price change.

ModelPrice
Google Pixel 8$699 (~ Rs 58,100)
Google Pixel 8 Pro$899 (~ Rs 74,700)

On the specs front, both Pixel 8 models will use the Tensor G3 chipset. This promises enhanced CPU and GPU performance. They’ll support up to 12GB of RAM and offer displays with up to 120Hz refresh rates.

For the photographers, the Pixel 8 will come with three back cameras: a 50MP main, a macro, and a 12MP ultra-wide. The Pro model is likely to share this setup but add a 48MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. Both versions should come with a 10.5MP front camera. Notable camera features include Real Tone, Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and a boosted Night Sight.

In terms of design, the Pixel 8 series will look a lot like the previous generation but with slight adjustments like smoother edges. The Pixel 8 might have a 6.17-inch screen while the Pixel 8 Pro could sport a 6.7-inch display. An exciting feature could be a body temperature sensor in the Pixel 8 Pro.
