Instagram Testing Music Integration for Photo Carousels
Instagram is said to be developing a new functionality that enables users to incorporate songs into their photo carousels. According to Meta Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, this new feature is currently being tested in a few countries and will soon be available to more users.
Instagram expands music options
Instagram carousels are posts that contain multiple photos or videos that users can view by swiping left. With this new feature, users will be able to add their favorite songs to their photo carousels, creating a more immersive experience for their followers.
To use the feature, users simply need to select a photo or video to upload and then tap on the “Sticker” icon in the top right-hand corner. Next, they can choose the “Music” sticker, allowing them to browse and search for the desired song to include in their photo carousel. After selecting a song, users can choose a specific section they want to add to their photo carousel and adjust the duration of the selected part.
In addition to the new feature for photo carousels, Instagram is also testing a new way to add music to Notes. This will give users another way to express themselves through music on the platform.
It remains to be seen when the new feature will be available to all Instagram users globally, but it is clear that the social media giant is committed to enhancing the user experience and providing new ways for users to express themselves on the platform.
