Nothing Phone (1) will be Manufactured in India, Confirmed by Company
The Nothing phone (1) is just a month away from going on sale, and we’re sure to get a lot of information about it before then. The Carl Pei-led startup recently offered us a sneak peek at its design and has now verified that the Nothing phone (1) will be made in India. Here are the important details to be aware of.

Manu Sharma, Vice President and General Manager of Nothing India, has confirmed that the phone (1) marketed in India will be made in India. It’s worth noting that the phone’s availability has already been confirmed through Flipkart.

This information follows a recent leak that said Nothing’s first phone would be manufactured in Tamil Nadu. This is, in fact, correct. The smartphone’s battery, on the other hand, will be built in China. Nothing will also open roughly 270 service facilities in 250 cities to provide convenient customer assistance and ‘year-round support via the Nothing India channels,‘ according to the company.
Sharma also revealed that India is a significant market for Nothing in an interview with ET Telecom. ”Nothing phone (1) is the real start of our journey and we cannot think of a better way to establish ourselves in India, which is a key market for us.” he said.
Nothing has been teasing and promoting the debut of the Nothing phone (1), which is set to launch on July 12. It just released a teaser, indicating that the nothing phone (1) will have a metal chassis and a flat-edge design. In the past, it was also confirmed that the device would have a transparent back panel to show the device’s internals, similar to the earbuds (1).
The Snapdragon-powered Nothing phone (1) will run Nothing OS, which is based on Android. However, no specific spec specifications are available at this time. Expect a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, 50MP rear cameras, a 90Hz display, wireless charging compatibility, Android 12 out-of-the-box, and more if reports are to be believed. The phone is expected to be in the mid-segment.
