Nothing, the tech company founded by Carl Pei, is preparing to launch its second smartphone, the Nothing Phone (2). In an exciting development, the company has announced that the phone will be manufactured in India and sold within the country. Manu Sharma, the Vice President and General Manager of Nothing India, confirmed this information.

Sharma stated, “Phone (2) is going to be manufactured in India – Tamil Nadu. The phones manufactured in India will be for consumption in India.” He further emphasized that Nothing smartphones are renowned for their iconic transparent design, which requires advanced manufacturing processes and precision engineering. By manufacturing the phone in India, Nothing aims to meet the demands of local consumers and showcase its commitment to them. Sharma proudly announced that the upcoming Nothing Phone (2) will be manufactured in India.

In a separate announcement, Nothing revealed its collaboration with Qualcomm to equip the Nothing Phone (2) with the powerful Snapdragon 8 series processor, ensuring a high-performance experience for users.

Nothing Phone (2) Launch Date Set for July: Exciting Details Revealed

While an earlier report suggested a summer launch for the Nothing Phone (2), recent information indicates that the phone is expected to be launched in July this year. The device will be available for purchase in India through the popular e-commerce platform Flipkart, which is owned by Walmart.

The Nothing Phone (2) is anticipated to feature significant upgrades compared to its predecessor, the Phone (1). The smartphone is rumored to boast top-of-the-line specifications, promising an enhanced user experience. Additionally, CEO Carl Pei has confirmed that the Nothing Phone (2) will be even more premium than the current Nothing smartphone. Pei also revealed plans to launch the handset in the United States later this year, extending its availability to a broader market.

Leaked renders of the Nothing Phone (2), shared by Smartprix, offer a glimpse into its design. The images showcase an increased area coverage of LED lights on the phone’s back panel, providing an enhanced visual appeal. The lighting elements surrounding the camera module have also been redesigned. The device features curved edges and is expected to be available in two color variants: Black and White.
