Samsung has recently announced the release of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Camera / Gallery March update. The update comes with a number of new features that will improve the usability of the gallery and make it easier and faster to take photos with the camera.
The update is not only available for the Galaxy S23, but also for the Galaxy S23+ and S23 Ultra. The software version is S91xNKSU1AWC8 and has an update file size of around 922.88MB.
Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra Receive Huge Update
One of the most significant changes is the AF concept, which has been modified to enable faster photography. Users can now take a photo even when the focus is not completely set, by simply pressing the shooting button. This change will significantly reduce the delay between pressing the button and capturing the image, making it easier to capture the perfect shot.
To further improve the camera function and image quality, Samsung has taken into account feedback from its users. The company has added a function that allows users to immediately delete photos that are being processed, right after taking them with the camera. This will make it easier to quickly delete unwanted photos, without having to wait for the processing to complete.

Another improvement is related to the Ultrawide mode. Users will now receive notice when shooting in low light indoors, after setting the Camera Video Mode to Super Steady On. The notice will inform the user that more light is needed to take a good Super Steady photo.
Several issues have also been addressed in the update. Samsung has fixed a problem where a green line was displayed on the left side intermittently when shooting in rear photo mode. The company has also improved image stabilization when shooting with FHD60, after setting Auto FPS Off in rear video.
Samsung has also optimized overall sharpness for high-pixel shooting and improved intermittent blurring through OIS stabilization. In addition, a malfunction that occurred when shooting after Night Off in low light after selecting Shooting Speed > High Resolution > Speed Priority in Camera Assistant has been fixed.
Finally, Samsung has improved the stability of camera movements introduced through other routes and fixed an issue where face recognition could not be recognized intermittently after ending a 3rd party video call.
Overall, the Galaxy S23 Camera / Gallery March update is a significant improvement that will make it easier and faster to take photos with the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra. Samsung has considered user feedback and addressed several issues to improve the overall user experience. Users are encouraged to use the new features and share their feedback with Samsung to improve the Galaxy S23 camera and gallery further.

Google Play Store Battery Drain Warning: Android Will Soon Alert Users About Power-Hungry Apps

Google Play Store Battery Drain Warning Explained
Google Play Store battery drain warning is a new feature being developed by Google that will alert users before installing apps that may consume excessive battery power. The update is designed to help Android users avoid apps that run heavy background processes and negatively impact device battery life.
According to recent reports, Google plans to introduce warning labels on the Play Store listing page when an app is detected to use significantly more battery than expected. This feature will rely on data collected through Android’s performance monitoring system to determine whether an app is draining power inefficiently.

The goal of this change is to improve transparency in the Play Store ecosystem while encouraging developers to optimize their apps for better battery efficiency.
How Google Detects Battery-Draining Apps
Google will use Android’s internal metric known as Excessive Partial Wake Locks to evaluate how frequently an app keeps the device awake in the background. When apps trigger this condition too often, it indicates that they are consuming power unnecessarily.
Apps that exceed the defined threshold in a notable percentage of user sessions may receive a warning label in the Play Store. The alert will inform users that the application may use more battery than expected compared with similar apps.
This system is expected to rely on aggregated performance data collected from Android devices, ensuring that warnings are based on real-world usage rather than isolated testing.
What It Means for Android Users and Developers
For users, the new Play Store warning system could make it easier to avoid installing poorly optimized applications. Battery performance is one of the most common concerns among smartphone users, and identifying problematic apps before installation may significantly improve daily device usage.
For developers, the feature introduces stronger incentives to optimize background processes, reduce unnecessary wake locks, and improve app efficiency. Applications that trigger battery drain warnings may also lose visibility in recommendations or rankings within the Play Store.
Overall, this upcoming feature reflects Google’s broader effort to improve Android performance, transparency, and user experience. By highlighting battery-intensive apps directly in the Play Store, Android users will gain better control over the apps they install and the impact those apps have on their device’s battery life.
