In the leaked screenshot, we could see the software update name as “Nothing OS 2.5.1 BETA1.” It’s the first closed beta of the Nothing OS 2.5 update for Nothing Phone (1). The update size is 1.22 GB which will take 10-15 minutes for the installation.

Nothing OS 2.5.1 Closed Beta Update for Phone (1) About Info

Firstly, the screenshots were leaked by some closed beta testers but even the file has been leaked for the update. It is an incremental update, so no data will be wiped. Though it is better to take precautions, you must backup your phone before installing such a file. Also, we don’t recommend installing any CBT files on your device.

We can expect the Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta update for Phone (1) end of this month, and a stable update might be coming next year in January or February, but there is no confirmation regarding this; we are just assuming the timeline for this update.

According to these changelogs, we could see some features, improvements, and changes adapted from the Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 2 update for Phone (2). There are some changelogs mentioned about the Glyph progress feature which was made for the Phone (2).

But for sure, this feature won’t work on Phone (1) because it does not have progress bar hardware on the back of the phone apart from the charging indicator which shows the status of the battery percentage. There is a charging indicator LED light where this feature could be implemented, but for now but we have confirmation that this feature is missing in the settings from a user who has installed Nothing OS 2.5.1 CBT1 on his device.

Nothing Phone 3 first teaser

Nothing has officially started teasing its next smartphone, the Nothing Phone (3), on social media. The company has now confirmed that the phone will launch in July 2025.

On their social handles, Nothing posted a short 6-second video showing the number 3, followed by the message:
“3. It’s a magic number.”

This teaser confirms both the name and the launch month of the upcoming phone.

Now remains the actual date of the launch event. So it could be in the first week or the second week of July.

What to Expect from Nothing Phone (3)

Recently, Carl Pei, the founder of Nothing, shared some exciting details. He said that the Phone (3) will feature premium materials, major performance upgrades, and better software. He called it “our true flagship smartphone.”

Carl also mentioned that technology should feel exciting again—not just in terms of design, but also with a user-first operating system.

So now, let’s see what the specs of the upcoming phone will be. It will surely have top-notch features, but the major question is about the chipset—will they go with the latest one, or take a step back?

Akis Evangelidis , co-founder of Nothing, also said: ‘Two years in the making. Our first true flagship. Over the past four years, we’ve been steadily building our product capabilities, and Phone (3) is the culmination of it all. I’m buzzing about it, just like when we launched Phone (1). Can’t wait!’

Expected Price of Nothing Phone (3)

Carl Pei hinted that the Phone (3) could be priced around £800 (about USD 1,064 or Rs. 90,850). For comparison, the Nothing Phone (2) with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage was launched at £629 (around USD 836 or Rs. 71,429) and was priced at Rs. 54,999 in India.

Nothing Headphones Concept

Tech brand Nothing has officially confirmed that it is working on its first pair of over-ear headphones. The announcement was made in a recent video, following the company’s earlier news about a partnership with audio company KEF for upcoming sound products.

Nothing X Kef partnership

The over-ear headphones have been rumored since February 2024, when they were seen in a certification listing with the model number B170, simply labeled as “wireless headphone”.

Unique Design and Features

Nothing’s CEO Carl Pei had previously shared concept images of over-ear headphones back in October 2022, and now it looks like the idea is finally becoming reality.

According to Nothing, these headphones will have a very unique and stylish design that stands out. The company’s designers reportedly don’t like the look of current headphones on the market, so they are aiming to create something different—something that “says something about you” when you wear them.

The headphones will also feature distinct physical buttons, designed to be easy to recognize by touch so you can control them comfortably while wearing them.

High-Quality Sound at a Better Price

Nothing is promising top-tier sound quality, especially considering the price. The company even claims that if you switch from high-end options like Apple’s AirPods Max, you won’t be disappointed, even though Nothing’s headphones will be more affordable.

There is a concept of Nothing Over-Ear Headphones made by Ben Geskin. They look quite good, featuring a transparent design with Glyph lights inside and a red button at top.

Launch Timeline

The new Nothing headphones are expected to launch in summer 2025, around the same time as the company’s upcoming smartphone, the Nothing Phone (3). There’s a good chance both products will be announced together at the same launch event.
