nothing os 2.0.2a update for nothing phone 2

Nothing has rolled out a new OTA update Nothing OS 2.0.2a for Nothing Phone (2). This update will be dedicated to camera enhancements for previous changes. This is the first time the company has added ‘a’ alphabet to the software version at the last.

The update has a new changelog at the top, and others are the same as the previous software update, the Nothing OS 2.0.2 changelog. The update size for this update is 58.02 MB. We can assume that this is an hotfix update.

This change will be seen in indoor environments photos with improved clarity of faces and optimized highlight levels. A new UI element is added to the camera app when HDR is active. Now when you click in HDR, the highlight exposure is more optimized. The dual tones are now reduced when clicking photos in HDR. At last, the halo effect in portrait mode issue while shooting in HDR is fixed now.

This update is all about HDR optimization, as we can see in the changelogs. Other changes might be made in the background, as no other changes can be seen.

Nothing Phone (2) Missing Hotspot Manager After Nothing OS 3.0 May Update

Published

Nothing Phone 2 May Update

Recently, the Nothing Phone (2a) and Nothing Phone (2) received the May 2025 Nothing OS 3.0 update. This update introduced some useful features like Private Space, different passwords for App Lock, and a Hotspot Manager.

These features were already available on the CMF Phone 2 Pro and Nothing Phone 3a series, which run on Nothing OS 3.2 and 3.1.

However, many users noticed that the Hotspot Manager feature is missing on the Nothing Phone (2), even though it was expected. This has led to confusion and disappointment, especially since users have been requesting this feature for a long time.

Now, all eyes are on Nothing to see if they will release another update soon to bring the Hotspot Manager to the Nothing Phone (2). If not, users may have to wait until the next scheduled security update in July 2025.

Nothing Confirms New Over-Ear Headphones Coming This Summer

Published

Nothing Headphones Concept

Tech brand Nothing has officially confirmed that it is working on its first pair of over-ear headphones. The announcement was made in a recent video, following the company’s earlier news about a partnership with audio company KEF for upcoming sound products.

Nothing X Kef partnership

The over-ear headphones have been rumored since February 2024, when they were seen in a certification listing with the model number B170, simply labeled as “wireless headphone”.

Unique Design and Features

Nothing’s CEO Carl Pei had previously shared concept images of over-ear headphones back in October 2022, and now it looks like the idea is finally becoming reality.

According to Nothing, these headphones will have a very unique and stylish design that stands out. The company’s designers reportedly don’t like the look of current headphones on the market, so they are aiming to create something different—something that “says something about you” when you wear them.

The headphones will also feature distinct physical buttons, designed to be easy to recognize by touch so you can control them comfortably while wearing them.

High-Quality Sound at a Better Price

Nothing is promising top-tier sound quality, especially considering the price. The company even claims that if you switch from high-end options like Apple’s AirPods Max, you won’t be disappointed, even though Nothing’s headphones will be more affordable.

There is a concept of Nothing Over-Ear Headphones made by Ben Geskin. They look quite good, featuring a transparent design with Glyph lights inside and a red button at top.

Launch Timeline

The new Nothing headphones are expected to launch in summer 2025, around the same time as the company’s upcoming smartphone, the Nothing Phone (3). There’s a good chance both products will be announced together at the same launch event.
