OnePlus Watch gets AOD and camera shutter control with latest firmware update.
In late March, the OnePlus Watch was released alongside the OnePlus 9 series. The wearable is now available in a variety of markets. It even got its first-ever firmware update just a few weeks ago.
Now, the company is releasing a new update that includes functionality that has been requested by media outlets and early adopters.
The latest firmware update for the OnePlus Watch comes with build number B.48 and brings two new features. The two new features added are AOD (Always-on Display) functionality and camera shutter control function.
Apart from the OnePlus Watch getting AOD and camera shutter control with a latest firmware update, the new update also adds a ‘Marathon’ workout mode.
Changelog
- Add Always-on Display dial
- Remote Control Camera function
- Add Marathon workout
- Improvements
- Optimize system UI details
- Fix known issues and improve system stability.
Users should have at least 40% battery on their OnePlus Watch while updating to this new firmware. Also, it warns about poor endurance when AOD is enabled. In fact, the brand claims that the battery life could be reduced by half.
