iQOO 15 Ultra Delivers Powerful Gaming Upgrade With Touch-Based Shoulder Triggers

iQOO 15 Ultra is officially gearing up for its China launch next month, and fresh confirmations highlight a strong focus on mobile gaming. Positioned as the premium sibling to the standard iQOO 15, the upcoming flagship will debut before the Spring Festival and introduce advanced touch-based shoulder triggers with haptic feedback.
Touch-Based Shoulder Triggers Confirmed
The standout feature of the iQOO 15 Ultra is its capacitive shoulder triggers placed on both sides of the frame. According to company officials, these triggers are designed so that fingers can rest naturally while holding the phone in landscape mode. This setup aims to deliver better control and comfort during extended gaming sessions, similar to console controllers.

Advanced Mapping and High Sampling Rate
The shoulder triggers will support full button mapping, allowing users to customise controls, assign shortcuts, or create combo actions based on their preferences. The triggers are also expected to operate at a 600Hz sampling rate, ensuring faster input recognition and improved precision, which is crucial for competitive and fast-paced games.
Haptic Feedback and Anti-Sweat Technology
To enhance immersion, the iQOO 15 Ultra will feature haptic feedback powered by a linear motor. This provides tactile confirmation for each press, closely replicating the feel of physical buttons. Additionally, an anti-sweat algorithm will be used to maintain consistent touch accuracy even when hands get sweaty during intense gameplay.

Dual Independent Chips for Reduced Latency
Another major highlight is the use of dual independent control chips for the shoulder triggers. Each trigger will process inputs separately, helping minimise input delay and deliver faster response times. This approach is aimed at ensuring smooth and reliable performance during demanding gaming scenarios.
Colours, Performance and Launch Timeline
The iQOO 15 Ultra will launch in two colour options—2077 black and 2049 silver. Internal benchmark testing suggests impressive performance figures, with over 4.5 million points on AnTuTu, although the brand has clarified these are internal results. The smartphone is confirmed to launch in China in February, ahead of the Spring Festival.
