OnePlus Invites Indian Users to Test OxygenOS 14 for OnePlus 9/9 Pro

OnePlus has announced the start of the OxygenOS 14 Closed Beta Testing (CBT) for the OnePlus 9/9 Pro. The company seeks Indian users willing to test the new software ahead of its official release. By sharing feedback and offering suggestions, participants can help enhance the software experience for everyone.
If you’re a OnePlus 9/9 Pro user with the Indian OxygenOS version and enjoy testing out new software, this is a golden opportunity for you. OnePlus will select 500 users who meet their criteria to participate in this CBT. Not only will participants get a sneak peek into the new software, but those who excel will also receive special rewards.
Participants should be aware that the CBT version may sometimes require a clean flash. This can result in data loss, so backing up data is essential. Moreover, the CBT version is not a stable build. It is still in development, meaning it might come with some glitches. Joining the test requires patience and understanding of potential software instability.
A word of caution for users: some 3rd-party apps might not be compatible with Android 14. This can lead to issues like app crashes and no responses. It’s recommended to update these apps via the Play Store to mitigate these problems.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Own a OnePlus 9/9 Pro India variant.
- Be an active member of the OnePlus Community.
- Be ready to report issues and give suggestions via the Feedback APP.
- Willingness to join the CBT Telegram group to actively and friendly communicate with the OnePlus team and other testers.
- Ensure confidentiality. Sharing of CBT packages or related content outside the project team is prohibited.
Known Issues with CBT:
- Camera flashback issue when using the High Efficiency Image feature.
- Progress bar icon glitches when adjusting the beautification effect bar with the front camera.
- Slower app updates in the Play Store.
How to Apply:
OnePlus has revamped its CBT recruitment process to make it more user-friendly. Here’s how you can apply:
- Application Period: October 7 until slots are full.
- Quota: 500 users.
- Version Check: Ensure your phone is updated to the specified version (different versions listed for OP9 and OP9 Pro).
- Application Process: Navigate to Settings > About device > Ensure your device is up-to-date > Access Beta program > Follow application steps.
- Rollout: After closing the application channel, OnePlus will review applications within 5 workdays. Approved users will get the new version in 3 workdays.
- Download: For approved applications, go to Settings > About device > Download Now.
- Contact: Accepted users will get a Telegram group invite. Ensure you provide the correct phone number during the application process.

Nothing Phone (2) Missing Hotspot Manager After Nothing OS 3.0 May Update

Recently, the Nothing Phone (2a) and Nothing Phone (2) received the May 2025 Nothing OS 3.0 update. This update introduced some useful features like Private Space, different passwords for App Lock, and a Hotspot Manager.
These features were already available on the CMF Phone 2 Pro and Nothing Phone 3a series, which run on Nothing OS 3.2 and 3.1.
However, many users noticed that the Hotspot Manager feature is missing on the Nothing Phone (2), even though it was expected. This has led to confusion and disappointment, especially since users have been requesting this feature for a long time.
Now, all eyes are on Nothing to see if they will release another update soon to bring the Hotspot Manager to the Nothing Phone (2). If not, users may have to wait until the next scheduled security update in July 2025.
