OnePlus Launched OxygenOS 14 Based on Android 14: Launch Timeline, Key Features & Device List

OnePlus has revealed the next chapter of its software with OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14, featuring the powerful Trinity Engine. As the Open Beta 2 is now available for the OnePlus 11, let’s dive into the highlights of this software.
Experience Supercharged Performance with Trinity Engine
OxygenOS 14 introduces the Trinity Engine, a combination of six groundbreaking technologies. It also focuses on providing the optimum performance during multitasking and even after long-term usage.

The Trinity Engine comprises CPU Vitalization, RAM vitalization, and ROM Vitalization. When these come together, the device’s performance, battery life, and responsiveness get boosted.
CPU Vitalization balances power consumption and performance. RAM Vitalization, first seen in OxygenOS 13 on the OnePlus 11, keeps frequently used apps running in the background for up to 72 hours. ROM Vitalization maintains the phone’s snappy performance even after years of use.
Gamers will appreciate HyperRendering, HyperTouch, and HyperBoost. These features elevate the gaming experience by improving graphics quality, touch response, and power efficiency.
Your Data is Safer than Ever
OxygenOS 14 emphasizes security and privacy. The Device Security Engine 3.0 is built on the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), which offers robust defense against hacking attempts. The Strong Box4, powered by a built-in eSE security chip, offers unparalleled data protection.
Furthermore, the improved Auto Pixelate 2.0 feature automatically blurs sensitive information in screenshots, like contact details and credit card numbers.

Immerse Yourself in Aquamorphic Design 2.0
OxygenOS 14 improves its Aquamorphic Design, making your interactions smoother and more intuitive. The Fluid Cloud feature stands out, presenting notifications in a fresh, interactive way.

Dynamic color changes in OxygenOS 14 respond to factors like time, phone status, and user activity. Even the sound experience is revamped with Aquamorphic-themed ringtones and UI sounds, evoking calmness and vitality.
For those environmentally conscious, the Go Green AOD theme changes with your daily step count, symbolizing how walking more results in a reduced carbon footprint.

Boost Your Productivity and Enjoyment
OxygenOS 14 also brings a suite of smart features. File Dock lets you manage and share global information with just a gesture. The revamped Notes feature offers a rich editing experience.

Photography enthusiasts will enjoy the Smart Cutout feature, allowing you to extract subjects from photos effortlessly, even from complex backgrounds or group shots.

Samsung
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 Could Be the First Foldable with Exynos 2500 Chip

Samsung is getting ready to launch its new foldable phones – the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Fold7 – in early July. There has been some confusion about which processor the Flip7 will use, but a new report now says it’s likely to feature the Exynos 2500 chip.
This is big news because the Exynos 2500 was originally planned for the upcoming Galaxy S25 series. However, Samsung faced problems producing enough of these chips, so it had to switch to the Snapdragon 8 Elite for the S25 lineup.
Now it seems those production issues have been solved, or Samsung is okay with using the Exynos chip in the Flip7 since it will likely sell in smaller numbers compared to the S-series phones.
If the rumor is true, the Galaxy Z Flip7 will be the first Samsung foldable to use an Exynos processor. The report says the Exynos 2500 will be used in most regions, including India and South Korea, while the Snapdragon 8 Elite might only be used in China and North America.
The Exynos 2500 is a powerful chip with ten CPU cores, including:
- 1 Cortex-X925 core (up to 3.3 GHz)
- 2 Cortex-A725 cores (up to 2.75 GHz)
- 5 Cortex-A725 cores (up to 2.36 GHz)
- 2 Cortex-A520 cores (up to 1.8 GHz)
It also comes with a new Xclipse 950 GPU, built using AMD’s latest RDNA 3.5 technology.
While this is still based on leaks, it’s exciting to see Samsung bring its Exynos chips back into the spotlight—especially in a foldable phone.
