The Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro launch event is due to take place later today, and we’ll be there to bring you all the facts on the next flagship Android phones running Android 12 – and we’ll be here to keep you updated as it occurs (as well as insight and commentary throughout the day).
The only thing left for Google to do now is fill in the gaps in our knowledge and introduce the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. Google has one of the worst reputations for maintaining secrets, so expecting a few surprises might be a stretch, but the long-rumored folding Pixel, along with other surprises, could yet happen. The only way to find out for sure is to watch the Pixel Fall Launch event.
Here’s what we expect from the Google event:
Google Pixel 6 ($699): Besides the Tensor chip, look for an improved camera array in the Pixel 6. The main camera is rumored to have a 50MP sensor. Google has already confirmed screen size (6.4 inches) and a 90 Hz refresh rate. We’re hoping rumors of faster charging and a bigger battery pan out, too.
Google Pixel 6 Pro ($899): We know this bigger model will have a 6.71-inch display and Google has confirmed a 120Hz refresh rate along with three rear cameras. The rumors tip a 50MP main lens and 48MP telephoto with 4x zoom.
