Tesla’s First India Factory Expected in Gujarat
Tesla, the electric vehicle (EV) giant led by Elon Musk, is getting closer to establishing its presence in India. Reports have been circulating about Tesla’s entry into the Indian market, and now there’s a small development. According to a recent Bloomberg report, the potential locations for Tesla’s factory setup included Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu. However, it now seems that Gujarat is the frontrunner.
Gujarat Health Minister Rushikesh Patel has officially indicated a strong likelihood of Gujarat being chosen as the location for Tesla’s first factory in India. Highlighting Elon Musk’s interest in Gujarat, Patel expressed optimism about Tesla’s arrival in the state. He pointed out that Gujarat already hosts major automakers like Suzuki, Tata, and Ford, underscoring its suitability for Tesla’s expansion.
Details about the factory setup are still under wraps, but Patel mentioned that an official announcement is expected soon. This announcement is likely to happen during the Vibrant Gujarat 2024 summit, a two-day event starting on January 10, 2024.
The excitement around Tesla’s India entry grew following a meeting in June 2023 between Musk and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New York. Musk revealed his intention to visit India, and given the significance of this venture, it’s anticipated that he will be present at the summit for the official announcement.
Tesla’s establishment in India marks a major expansion, as the company currently operates in the U.S., Germany, and China. The addition of an Indian factory is set to boost Tesla’s production capacity significantly, helping it achieve higher sales numbers and a substantial revenue increase. The company boasts a range of over five EV models.
In the global market, Tesla’s Model 3 is the most affordable, priced at around $38,990 (approximately Rs 32.48 lakh), while the Model X is the priciest at $94,990 (approximately Rs 78.68 lakh).
Tesla’s potential foray into the Indian market with a local manufacturing setup is poised to bring multiple benefits. Indian customers can look forward to accessing Tesla’s innovative EVs, along with the pricing advantages associated with local production.

Recently, the Nothing Phone (2a) and Nothing Phone (2) received the May 2025 Nothing OS 3.0 update. This update introduced some useful features like Private Space, different passwords for App Lock, and a Hotspot Manager.
These features were already available on the CMF Phone 2 Pro and Nothing Phone 3a series, which run on Nothing OS 3.2 and 3.1.

Similar to the OnePlus 11R, the OnePlus Nord 4 is also expected to receive a fresh OxygenOS 15 update this month. A new version has been spotted, and like before, intermediate updates may be released before the stable version arrives.

Krafton India Esports has officially revealed the first set of teams for the upcoming Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series (BMPS) 2025. Groups A and B have been announced, featuring some of the top-performing professional BGMI teams in India. These teams have a strong background in Krafton’s official tournaments, including BGIS 2025 and previous editions.
The BMPS 2025 tournament will begin on May 22, 2025, with matches expected to continue for several weeks. The grand finals are scheduled to take place in July 2025 in Delhi. So far, only the first two groups have been revealed, and more groups are likely to be announced soon.
