Nothing OS 2.0 Rollout Confirmed for Phone (1) Users in Late August
Nothing, the tech startup founded by Carl Pei, has recently unveiled its highly anticipated flagship smartphone, Nothing Phone (2), which runs on the latest version of its custom operating system, Nothing OS 2.0. While the new device boasts impressive features and enhancements, there’s good news for existing Phone (1) users too. Nothing has officially confirmed that Phone (1) owners can expect to receive the much-awaited Nothing OS 2.0 update in August, along with the much-talked-about Nothing Icon Pack.
Nothing OS 2.0 Update Next Month
Nothing OS 2.0 represents a substantial improvement from its predecessor, Nothing OS 1.5, introducing a plethora of thrilling features and enhancements. The new software offers a visually notable glyph interface, monochrome icons, different home screen layout options, app shortcuts, and folders, widgets, lock screen customization, and more, all designed to enhance user experience and device functionality.
The company made an official announcement via its Twitter account, informing Nothing Phone (1) users that the Nothing Icon Pack would be available for download alongside the Nothing OS 2.0 software update in late August. The Icon Pack complements the minimalist design of Nothing’s devices, featuring a monochrome color scheme and the ability to integrate third-party app icons seamlessly with Nothing widgets, promoting a unified and distraction-free user experience.
In addition to this exciting news, the tech company is gearing up for the first sale of Nothing Phone (2) on July 21st. Ahead of the launch, Nothing is rolling out a minor update for Phone (2), bringing the firmware version up to Nothing OS 2.0.1. This update, weighing around 205MB, introduces several new features, improvements, and bug fixes, ensuring that Phone 2 users have a smooth and optimized experience from the get-go.
For Phone (1) users eagerly anticipating the upcoming Nothing OS 2.0 update, the August release will undoubtedly breathe new life into their devices, introducing fresh features and a more refined user interface. Recently, at the MWC 2024 event, which was held in Barcelona, Samsung’s VP, Hon Pak confirmed that the upcoming Galaxy Ring will not be supported by iPhones. Pak also said that their products are as good as the Apple ones.
There are also very good reasons to switch to Samsung’s ecosystem. Samsung is also working on making their devices compatible with other Android devices as well, not only with their own.
As we already know, Galaxy Ring comes in various sizes. Among them, the smallest one is powered with a battery of 14 mAh, and the largest one comes with a bigger battery of 21.5 mAh which will provide a battery backup of 5-9 days.
Until now, the launch of Galaxy Ring has not been revealed but some rumors suggested that it will launch in the Unpacked Event, which is going to be held in July along with Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6.

Apple, an American-based Tech Giant has recently shared full release notes for the iOS 17.4 update, which is expected to be launched in the first week of the next month i.e. March.
