In its ongoing commitment to protecting user privacy, WhatsApp has unveiled two new features designed to offer enhanced control over incoming calls and to provide users with a comprehensive privacy checkup. These updates, Silence Unknown Callers and Privacy Checkup, are now available to WhatsApp users worldwide.

WhatsApp Silence Unknown Callers

The introduction of Silence Unknown Callers aims to bolster privacy by automatically screening and silencing spam, scam, and calls from unfamiliar numbers. This feature ensures that such calls do not disturb users by preventing them from ringing on their devices. Instead, these calls will be visible in the user’s Call list, allowing them to check if any important calls may have been inadvertently blocked.

WhatsApp acknowledges the significance of securing private communications, recognizing that individuals require a safe environment to express themselves. To reinforce this message on a global scale, the company is embarking on a campaign that encourages people to connect securely with one another through private messages. This initiative aims to assure friends and loved ones that WhatsApp provides a secure space for them to open up and share their thoughts without concerns about privacy breaches.

WhatsApp’s commitment to privacy has been an integral part of its platform, with end-to-end encryption serving as the foundation for secure messaging. As part of its continuous efforts to fortify user privacy, the company has consistently introduced additional layers of protection, such as Chat Lock, Disappearing Messages, screenshot blocking for View Once, and the ability to manage online presence discreetly.

The OnePlus 13T is set to launch on April 24, and the company has now confirmed some important details about the phone.

Today, OnePlus announced that the 13T will come with a large 6,260mAh battery. Earlier, the brand had promised that the battery would be no smaller than 6,000mAh.

While OnePlus hasn’t revealed the charging speed yet, it confirmed that the 13T will support bypass charging. This feature is especially useful during gaming because it powers the phone directly without heating up the battery. OnePlus also mentioned that the phone will weigh 185 grams. Interestingly, the OnePlus 13 and 13R, which have slightly smaller 6,000mAh batteries, both weigh over 200 grams.

As for other features, OnePlus has already shared that the 13T will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. It will have a 6.32-inch screen, an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance, and two 50MP cameras at the back — one main camera and one telephoto lens. The telephoto camera will support 2x optical zoom and 4x lossless zoom.

With the launch event just three days away, there’s a good chance OnePlus might reveal a few more exciting features before the official announcement.
