S Series is the Flagship Series from Samsung. Recently, Samsung has rolled out a new update for its Samsung Galaxy S21 Series based on May 2023 Security Patch after the Samsung Galaxy S23 and S22 Series. But in the Samsung Galaxy S21 Series i.e. Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra. Users reported Pink or Green Line Issues on their Display, as seen in the smartphones from OnePlus and some other brands.

Most Galaxy S21 users have reported Line Issues on Twitter and Samsung Community. The users reported the line issues on display after updating the device to May 2023 Security Patch Update. This is not for the first time. Same-line issues on the Display after updating the smartphones were previously reported by Samsung Galaxy S20 Users. For S21 the firmware version is G991BXXU7EWE6/G991BOXM7EWE6/G991BXXU7EWE1. The update size is 237.84 MB and the Software Update is based on OneUI 5.1 based on Android 13 with a security patch of 1 May 2023.

If you ask me to update your S21 Series to this May Security Patch Update or not. Then I will suggest you to wait for some time. As most Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus and S21 Ultra, users are getting Line Issues on their Displays and you have to pay the cost of display replacement.

If we talk about the replacement cost for the Display. So, first, we are talking about the display cost of the Samsung Galaxy S21 which will cost you Rs. 15,377 with an additional cost of 18% of GST and Labour Charges separately. For Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus. The Display Cost is Rs. 13,141 with an additional cost of 18% of GST and Labour Charges separately and now if we talk about the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. So, the Display will cost you 25,495 with an additional cost of 18% of GST and Labour Charges separately.
If you ask me, whether I replace the Display or not. So, my recommendation is you won’t. As the replacement cost is too high if the device is out of warranty or it has any physical or water damage.
